"I dont know," Adina said quietly, "all I saw was chez being put in the ambulnce," she stopped. "He'll be all right," she said, she tried to sound sure that he would be all right
Nick closed his eyes and tears spilt out onto his cheeks. He didn’t fight them. “I just don’t understand.” He wasn’t saying it to any one in particular but that was the one thing that ran in circles in his head.

As the boat sped along Sarah wished she knew how to help. Her last attempt to make Ceagin feel better didn't seem to work, if anything it made things worse. Sarah just sat there, and prayed Ceagin's roommate was alright.
The boat sped up to the dock and the three silently got out. Ceagin retrieved his keys from his pocket and opened the door. He turned on car and slammed the gear into place. “if there is a God…Chez could really use your help.” He mumbled under his breath. He was angry and frightened. He couldn’t do this again.

Adina closed her eyes, “sometimes things happen that we don’t understand, and we never will understand them.” She opened her eyes, she wanted to say something else, but she couldn’t, not yet.

At every stop he revved his engine. He wanted to go faster but he forced himself to comply with the rules of the road. His mind was spinning and everything came rushing in. the collage was in sight and Ceagin couldn’t help but speed up just a little.

Nick nodded. He wiped his hands on his black suit pants and wiped the tears away from his eyes. He looked up hearing the humm of Ceagin’s car.

Adina looked up, she saw Ceagin's car.

Sarah felt relieved when they got to the college. When she saw Nick with blood on his hands, she was gripped with fear. This seemed so strange, and too horrible.

Ceagin Stopped the car and jumped out. he ran over to Nick and stopped wehn he saw Adina, "Nick what is going on?" Ceagin asked
"Honestly Ceagin, I don't know." He said trying to replay everything in his mind, "I got home and found him on the floor." getting up her started to walk inside. He led Ceagin to the bedroom and explained everything. “That’s all I know. I was waiting for you to get there to go to the hospital.”
“Yah,” Ceagin reapplied still looking at the pool of blood on the floor.

Sarah stood on the sidewalk. She half smiled to Adina, but didn't say anything. The sight of the blood on Nick made her feel a little queezy. She held her stomache, trying to think about something else.

Nick and Ceagin came back outside both somber. Nick had washed his hands.
"Hey we are going to the hospital. Nick is going into surgery and yah, so..yah." Ceagin didn't know what else to say. Was there anything else to say?

Adina stood still for a minute, she looked at Nick. "Can I come with you?" she had to go, for some resion she felt like she needed to go with them.

ooc: HOLY COW!! I missed a lot!! And it is all so exciting!1 So, sorry for the really long post...:o

Kiera waved at the two as they exited the statue. Though, immediately realized something was wrong. She knew it was best not to say anything, and soon, as the journey back to Ceagin's dorm seemed to take an eternity, a thousand thoughts entered her mind on what could've happened.
She could sense how Ceagin wanted to get there as fast as he could, but controlled himself. As the ambulance rushed away from Nick, Ceagin, and Chez's dorm, memories flooded to her mind....

The cop was standing there. Another women in uniform was sitting by her, saying comforting words. She just sat there, with the towel wrapped around her soaking clothes and hair. Her father had already been pronounced dead, after shooting himself, and her mother was being rushed out, to go to the hospital. But, she knew she was already gone...
She had been watching the shadows on the wall the entire time. That is, until her dad caught her...

But tears ran down her face as she remembered the rest of the horrible evening...

She looked at the people around her. She looked at Sarah, who announced she was going to leave, then looked at Adina, who was going to stay. She was caught in the middle, she felt, wanting to stay to offer as much comfort as she could, but then knew that the roommates might not want any company along. She quickly wiped the tears that had begun to run down her face, trying to gain control of them...

“Ceagin nodded his head yah whatever, sure come.” He said to Adina abruptly as he got into the car. He knew he had been harsh but his mind was on one thing only. “Any one else join the party?” he asked sarcastically as he turned on the car.

Sarah sighed, "Get to the hospital. Chez will be waiting for you guys. Tell him to get better for me." She waved as the three drove off. Then made her way slowly back to her dorm.

The hospital was a maze and it seemed so much louder than normal. Ceagin, Nick, and Adina, ran up to the counter.
“Where is Chez….I mean Zack Derrolson?” Ceagin asked
“I am sorry and who are you?” she asked politely looking up from her computer.
“I am Ceagin, his roommate and I really would like to know what is going on?” he asked. His cool was ending and his temper was starting to get the best of him.
“I am sorry I can’t tell you anything at this moment we are only releasing medical information to family members.”
“Dang it!” Ceagin slapped the counter, “I might as well be family, lady!”
“I am sorry sir,”
“That’s not good enough! My friend may be in critical condition and all you can do is stick to protocol?!” Ceagin was yelling.
“Ceagin, chill man.” Nick said trying to calm Ceagin down.
“Chill?! Chez could be dying for all we know and you want me to chill?!”
“Ceagin, Stop!” Nick’s voice echoed though the halls booming off ever wall. Ceagin stopped. “You don’t think it is just as hard for me? Because you are not the only one here that has a roommate in possible critical condition.” Nick was trying to keep a level head but it was getting harder every moment. “Sit down and take a deep breath.” Nick turned away and started to pace. He wanted to know what was going on but he didn’t know what to do.

When Sarah got back to her dorm she changed into her pajamas and sat down on her bed. She knew she wouldn't sleep that night, how could she. She put her hand over the necklace her grandmother gave her. Please let him live. Then she picked up her book and read. She read until she finished the book and fell asleep.

Ceagin sat he elbows resting on his knees, his hands clasped together and his forehead resting on them. God if you are really there now is your time to prove it. He thought. This felt so familiar, so horribly familiar. Nick was still pacing the floor when he tossed a glance at Ceagin and walked down the hall a ways. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number.
“Hello?” came a female voice from the other line.
“Dana I know that you don’t want to talk to me but this is important so please don’t hang up.” Nick said and waited. There was a long pause.
“What do you want?” her voice was disgusted and irritated.
“Chez is in the hospital and-“
“Serves him right.” She snapped cutting Nick off.
“Ok I know you hate me but this is not about me or even chez, it’s about Ceagin.” He tried to sound convincing and it worked.
“Is Ceagin ok?” Dana now sounded concerned.
“No, Ceagin is not exactly ok.”
“What is wrong with him? Is it serious?”
“No Dana, but he is really having a hell of a day. Chez is in the ER and we can’t get any info from the doctors on what is going on. Ceagin is not handling it well.” He waited.
“What do you need me to do?” he voice dropped to a much less abrasive tone.
“I need you to run interference. Pose as a family member and get just the bare minimum.”
“I’ll do it but remember not for you, not for Chez, but for Ceagin. And just for the record I still hate you.” With that the other end went dead. Nick closed his phone and smiled when the phone at the front desk rang. She was faster than he thought.

Adina sat down, she looked around. It hasn't changed in five years, she thought. She had sat in this room five years ago, when her parents had been murdered, covered in there blood.
