Do you beleive there is a Narnia?

of course nothing is better than heaven, but there can be a place of fantasy not created directly by humans, but created by the power of human's imagination!!
 
of course Narnia is real. I live in a world oddly similar to Narnia and it is my special little place that no other human will or even can go to. Everyone should have a place like that. A quite little place to cry sanctuary so no one can capture you. Of course i dont believe i have or could ever physically visit my world, but its always nice to have one.

I also dont doubt that CS Lewis had a secret world of his own. Narnia isnt the only world he created you know... i believe the first one was simply called animal-land. I find it hard to immagine someone can write about a world that they dont believe in; let alone at least 2.
 
I believe in another world...It will be realy nice that there is world in which live mythology creatures...I dream about that. Modern life is boring for me.
 
Narnia is a work of imagination, same as Middle Earth, Xanth, Krynn and other great fantasy worlds. So no, there is no Narnia beyond the books; it only 'exists' in a metaphorical sense. Though like any lover of fantasy, I'd love to live in one of those worlds (with the exception of Narnia, unless you removed the christian elements).

But then, I don't believe in heaven either, so I would say that. ;)
 
The question stands though-- if there is a Narnia, would we really be chosen?

Is it really our destiny? Aslan would call us to Narnia if he feels we should. It's not our choice. So if there were a Narnia not all of us would be getting in.

i think there is. if you dont belive i think that it is impossible to find a type of narnia, maybe this place wont be exactly like narnia but different from ours. if there was one how do you think it will look?
 
Honestly I really dont know.. But it should be the coolest thing if it was real :D I think some people dream about Narnia to be real .. but who knows.. Best wishes!
 
Well I have tried various wardrobes, trainstations, paintings, and doors that lead through walls.... but alas none of them lead to Narnia. However if anyone out there can come accross a dusty box from Atlantis let me know! :p

However in reality, I think that Narnia can exist as long as there are those of us who keep Narnia in our minds!

Did CS Lewis say narnia was based off heaven??? seems like a pretty bad place to be heaven. I would think more like USA than heaven... or atleast earth.
 
I do believe there are other places. Not necessarily Narnia, but places similar. Where anything and everything we ever hoped for and imagined, is natural there. I've always loved reading things on the Universe and other worlds. I loved the chapter 'Farther up and farther in' in the Last Battle. It really makes you think if any of that's possible.

Lewis hardly ever travelled outside the British Isles, so even if he wanted to, there aren't many places he could base it on, given that even fantastical worlds generally have some kind of inspiration from the 'real world'.
 
maybe, like there is, but its not at all like narnia..i mean c.s. lewis made this up right? but it doesn't stop it beocming real somehowelse..

Excellent point! lol. If there is a Narnia, I doubt Aslan would choose most of us to go in, coz we'd just be like intergalactic tourists and wander round going, "Look, the lampost! Look, Beaversdam! OMGTHERESPETERHESSOHAWTSQUEE!!!"
 
I honestly feel bad for people who don't beleive that there is some other world out there, be creative people!!

Also, have you ever looked at where people put their from??Sweeden, England, Scotalnd, Brazil, US, Canada. Its very cool!

Also,Kirke and slideyfoot, there are plenty of things wrong with every country but I won't get into that!!!And slideyfoot has very good point, Lewis hadn't been to US.
