Cool 10th Doctor, Mozy! Unfortunately I don't live there. I would definitely let you come to my house and have the popcorn and Icee's ready for you. I used to live in Hershey, PA a long time ago but it still is not very close to you.

I tried to get my cousin to let me come over -she lives in NY state- but from what she said she'll be in California when the 50th airs.

Cool pics Mowsie!! I plan on buying Ten's Trenchcoat for Christmas but it is still a bit expensive though. But I love the Trench :p

I found that coat in my house, just hanging in a corner. My mom got it after she helped one of her friends clean out her house- for free. I have never been so happy to randomly find something.:p

Aw, nooo. I am also in California so.. Don't you have a neighbor with cable? You could offer them some cash or chores if they let you come and watch it on the 23rd.

The coat is cool. It looks warmer than the real one too! :p

I'm going to GG's house.:D

It was quite warm- especially when it was the third layer I was wearing and it was 50-60 degrees outside. That was the one time I was grateful that my school is perpetually cold.

Cool costume Mozy!

I am glad you found a place to watch the show on the 23rd. I so wanted to go see it in cinema on the 25th but: the nearest one is still at least 30 miles from me, and we are going out the next night into Houston (30 miles away) -- getting my husband to take me out 2 nights in a row (after a weekend of craft shows where he is working selling his art) is about impossible! :(

You're lucky. Nearest theater to me that's showing it is in Chicago. That's 500 miles! I have no idea how to see it.
Do what I suggested to Mozy, see if any friend or neighbor has cable and the BBC America and offer cash or chores. Find out if anyone else in your social circle (or close by it) is a fan and/or has cable. Or ignore everything I said, as Mozy did and, like her, post a plea on Facebook begging ANYONE NEAR YOU :D to let you come to their house to watch it. That's how she found out that Gondorgirl lives near her AND is throwing a DW party on the evening of the show. How cool is that?:)

YES!!! I'm so lucky :D I found a dutch Dr Who forum and they also have a facebook page. The anniversary is not shown in the theaters over here but someone arranged something on the final moment. It's not 3D but it will be on a large screen in a room with a capacity of 40/50 people. I signed up together with my sister. It will be a 1 and half hours train ride but it will be so worth it. Now I must get some proper things to get ready :D

How cool is that? And you'll be there with 50 other Whovians! That's awesome! :)

That sounds great! I would go too. :)

He is such an awesome and great guy! In an interview he said they filmed it in May. He is also willing to play the Doctor again if they ask him because he said it is Who and how can anyone refuse Who? How cool is that :D This guy has gained a lot of fans on facebook! There is a page created for him to have his own series on screen or maybe even on the web and it went to 1600 members in like 3 days time!

The interview

Watching that mini episode made me want to watch more of Paul McGann so I went ahead and searched for the movie he made. I have to say that they truly wasted his talents in that horrible movie. It didn't even have any suspense, any drama. It was passable at best.

**Possible Spoilers**

I am unfamiliar with classic Who, so I was a little bit lost. But what I get from the mini-episode is that the "War Doctor" is John Hurt, and he is the one who ends the war with the Daleks by destroying everything -- which is why in the last modern episode, the current Doctor didn't even want Souffle Girl to look at him and wouldn't name him ... but why would she not know him if she has known all the incarnations?

I've had an interesting time trying to figure out how to watch the 50th as well. I'm at college now, and, of course, our dorms' TVs don't get BBC America, and no one has cable (we're broke college kids, remember! :) ). However, there's going to be a showing in a movie theater about an hour away, so I and a bunch of other Whovians (who are remarkably numerous here on campus) are going to carpool down on the Monday after and see it! Now I just have to completely avoid the Internet from when the 50th airs Saturday until I get to see it on Monday night...

A road trip to go watch Doctor Who sound great! You'd definitely need to avoid spoilers.
