Inkspot, welcome to the fandom! :) I'm excited that you've started watching!

I don't know how everyone feels but I didn't really like the latest episode. It was like, too rushed, and in the end I'm not sure what the exact reason was for trying to kill humans other than the dude not liking us!

And the Ponds are back traveling with the Doctor for no reason cause they'll be gone for good at the end of next episode, I think.

Actually, I loved "The Power of Three". I knew you weren't going to like it, but I did. ;) The plot was a bit too simplistic, I guess, but I still liked aspects of it, and the overall episode was just wonderful. ^_^ There were so many funny lines and cute scenes and hilarious and heart-rending moments. Also, I very much liked Kate. I thought that was a sweet tie-in to Classic Who.

Did anybody catch the wibbly wobbly timeline? It was in this episode that Rory lost his phone charger, but it was referenced in "a Town Called Mercy". :D Plus, I believe they were even wearing the same clothes while under the bed that they were dressed in during ATCM. :D

As to the Ponds continuing to travel with the Doctor, remember this: we have no idea how much time will have elapsed between "The Power of Three" and "The Angels Take Manhattan". So far, the episodes have had significant time gaps between them. In fact, it makes it easier to see the Ponds go, in my opinion. This is not another story of the Doctor picking up a companion, travelling with them for a bit, and then having them meet some sort of tragic end. It's been TEN YEARS since Amy first started travelling with the Doctor. She and Rory have been together for a long time, and they've had a life. They've not just been in the TARDIS the whole time.

I quite agree with you, I like how the Ponds had a long period of time. Of course. There is no doubt I will be in tears on Saturday.
Did any notice the song when it was christmas time, and they were in the hospital? They used that song every Christmas special they had during the RTD era. I thought that was a good touch.

That's the impressive thing with Doctor Who. The continuity of the DW universe is insane. Everything fits with little hints and tips the whole way though. Even with the older original episodes. :)

What's going to be hard is waiting until Christmas for another installment. Ugh! They should have made it closer. Or do you think the other half of the series will resume before Christmas?

It is confirmed that it is the last one tomorrow until the Christmas one and then more come after Christmas. I can't find the date the re-commence though.

Its nice when thy refer to older ones. When K-9 came back, I freaked out!

It is lovely :D. I squealed too.

I just finished watching a two-part episode from series one -- aliens had invaded London and were going to destroy the earth and sell it for scrap. The Doctor and Rose were trapped in Number Ten Downing Street with the aliens, and the only way to stop the bad guys was to remotely fire a missile at the building they were all in. The doctor said he could save the world but might lose Rose ... it was very touching! He saved everyone of course, and even won over Rose's mum who'd been very miffed at him. She was so happy he saved Rose (and the world) she wanted to have him over for dinner, but he got very weirded out and took Rose and fled, hacking Mum off again. Why is he so anti-family? Other than that, he's delightful.

Sorry I can't comment on the recent episodes! I have just been watching these oldies on my Kindle Fire as I get time.

I just made this little TARDIS out of paper. It's only about three inches tall. I wasn't going to use any tape or glue, but about halfway through I gave up on that. :D Still, I think it turned out pretty awesome.

On this subject, it was interesting to see the character of Kate Lethbridge-Stewart finally appear in an `official` Dr Who episode and finaly meet the doctor.
Up until now she`s only appeared in some of the novelisations and some straight to video things in the 1990`s.

Did you like the aliens? Everyone thinks there terrible. I want to know what you think.

It's just the 9th doctor's personality. Plus, he doesn't like Jackie. :p

I can't even think of watching tonight's episodes. The Pond's leaving. I just can't!!

I love this last episode, thank you very much! :p Overall it was a great episode, if bittersweet. I liked it that at least Amy had time time to say goodbye. It was very touching.

Sorry, major spoilers below!

I am at peace because it appears that everyone at least had some happiness. The WILLIAMSES:D apparently lived happily ever after, little Amelia did not wait in vain, and the Doctor will get a new great companion! Excellent ending!

I loved the aliens in the Aliens in London 2-part episode from 2005. They were so disgusting and goofy. Just what you'd imagine aliens would be in our cockamamie universe.

Can't comment on recent episodes, not there yet ...

Yes, exactly! I won't reference your spoilers openly, but shall just say... YES! That's exactly how I felt!!!! (...Proved my the numerous exclamation points, which I generally seek not to overuse...)

I think it was an absolutely fantastic departure episode! I don't usually cry in anything but Doctor Who, but even so, this was totally different. I was sobbing harder than I have in ages. xP My mom and sister were out, and they arrived back home shortly after I had finished the episode. My sister says that they could hear by bawling from the driveway... :D

It was just all around fantastic. It was appropriately creepy, emotionally engaging from the start, and oh so clever! But of course, the real focus is the ending, and it did not disappoint.

All along, I wanted the story to end this way. I could not bear the thought of either of the Ponds dying and/or being separated, and wanted them to live a happy life together, just apart from the Doctor. With all the talk about how they were leaving for good and not everyone would make it out alive, blah, blah, blah, I felt that there was no good hoping for a bittersweet ending. I thought we were going for all out tragedy. :p

But this was just what I wanted, and in such an intriguing setting! I don't even know what to say, really, except that it was absolutely heartbreaking but also deeply satisfying. I am thrilled that the Ponds got to have their happy life together, while still having such a tragic departure, and realize once more that I should trust Steven Moffat. ;) I cried bucketloads, and was emotionally distraught over it all, but it was SO GOOD. Of all the companion departures, this is the best handled, in my opinion, and I am very, very pleased. ^_^

I cried, I cried so hard. So sad.

But I'm glad that got to live together. That was nice. I think Moffat has an addiction to throwing people off the edges of buildings.

YES!!! The Doctor is amazing! I already have series 5 on hold at the library!

That's great! But remember that series 5 is with the new Doctor #11. He has just regenerated from 10 (David Tennant). You would have to watch "End of The World I and II to see what happened that cause 10 to regenerate.
