Yes, noren is much shorter! Germans are duitsers and Danish are denen and Swedish are zweden.
 
I can assure you she didn't learn it to me for that reason! :p So is "you are stupoed" du ben stum? i'm not shure about du...it that in german though! :D

You're welcome Reepicheep. Yes Cathyrh, you are right....it is a bit the same as in german. Du means you or jij in dutch and stum is stom and means stupid.
I already thought she (your friend) meant it as a joke.
Tell your friend this: Jij bent een oliebol (means: You are an oil-dumpling)
We dutch use to eat a lot oil-dumplings during new years eve.

I remember! Yes! I have seen it in a book that Du is you in norwegian. But you don't pronounce it as in german?
Here is a pic of an oil-dumpling. It is a snack we eat on New Years Eve. They are very sweet but also contain a lot of calories :D
