European football cup!/Congratulations Nederlandse!

Even though i'm not a guy, i think i could still answer... :rolleyes:

France is still very good, i just think Rumania surprised some people too. France is known for a very good defense, and they don't get lots of goal chances, but when they get them, they can nail it! So that's dangerous for us. France vs Rumania ended in 0-0 btw.

And Inkspot, 'Wilkommen' is German, in the Netherlands we say 'Welkom' ;):D

But hey, it's nice having a victory like this, but this was just ONE game, i mean, we're definately not anywhere yet.:rolleyes:
 
The judge was a good one anyway, not too much stops during the game, but there were some who were neccesary, and they were given by him. Did anyone see that moment where some Italian soccer player (don't know his name) did something bad, and should have gotten a yellow card (which would make it a red one, because he already got one), and the judge and that guy just smiled, and he didn't get a red one? That was awesome :D

Well Doffen, you must be quite happy with Sweden, 2-0 against Greece, right? And Spain Russia was 4-1, very very nice goals!

Your hardest competition in this championship will be Spain, Sweden and Portugal. If you saw how the attackers of Sweden cooperate (Today, 2-0 against the best ruling European team, Greece), you should know that they are very well coordinated against a defence of Netherlands (which I think is your guys weakness, I'm afraid) ... Zlatan against Nistelroy? Zlatan all the way!

Though, I hardly think that a northerner country will win the competition. I'll lean or Portugal or Spain. They're another league, totally. They're gonna win.

NETHERLANDS IS NOT BETTER THEN FRANCE, but Netherlands is not far behind from what I've seen of Netherlands recently. France has had to bring up new attackers. Replacing Zidan was not a easy task. Therefor, I think France is rebuilding right now ...

I so totally hate that Norway isn't in the tournament. I'd like to see some Riise fireballs from 20 meters going "DONK!" in the goal.

Totally loved it. Like with Netherlands, totally unexpected! What happened with the goal keeper of Greece? That guy must've had some problems during the match. I couldn't stop laughing when the guy just ran out to the 16 meter and waited for the ball to come and it didn't ... Luckily for greece, it didn't get to be 3-0. But again.. luckily for Sweden, it didn't get to be 0-1 to greece. They had the biggest chance first, ya know.

I was actually hoping for Russia to win. I like the "underdogs" of the tournament more then the big and famous things. The underdogs creates more competitive and fun football, while countries like Spain and Portugal thinks tactics, and will often stall the time to win points in the tournament, which is soooo boring (Greece tried to do this with Sweden, but quickly changed when the swedes managed to score a goal :D )
 
hmmm... as the expert on soccer (who hates soccer :p sorta) I'll give an expertly analysis:
The chance of orange winning only by luck is 0,05 (or lower) but luck might play a role in it. (Duh...)
The chance of the Dutch supporters getting very very critical about the match on friday against France is very high. For dutch supporters, reporters and experts are critical very often. And if they'll compare the match of friday with that of monday the risc is very high that the match will be less interesting (or can it). This stands, whether the Dutchies win or not.
The chance of dutchies winning the Europa cup (?) or getting in the finales, might be very low, but hey... we got there the last cup to, then we had silver, but since greece has been slain bye spain, we might actually win (?).
Anyways you probably know more than me about it, so think what you think about it. Meanwhile I'll go Carbacholling.

Sorry! I knew that -- On Aruba the local language is sort of a pidgin Dutch/Spanish and my brain hurts from trying to understand it, so I got confused.

I hate to say it but don't forget the germans. I think people are going to kill me for this but I won't cry when Holland is going out, exit, finito. It means....................NO MORE SCREAMING LIKE CRAZY!!!!!!! Owww...I'm such a traitor :D If there will be a champion it's the dutch. No, not when it comes to football but when it comes to outfits. Man...have you seen all these clothings, caps, pipes, banners, cloggs, shirts and even a heineken drum on your head???????? I never thought it would get any crazier but it is possible :eek:

Of course I like it when Oranje is becoming the champion but I'm afraid Germany is going to claim the title. Portugal has been great but they are always one step behind. It's time they finally grab a title but I'm afraid they will miss the boat again.

Yeah...even for me as a huge football hater I do know the results. But you will never see me watching football even when it has to be 30 seconds.

It's good to know we are not the only crazy fans. On tv there were supporters dressed up as the traditional dutch girl in traditional clothes but of course in orange as usual. Owww...but here we do have enough crazy fans who are dressed up in a giant lion suit. It seems like the norwegians are a bit like us! So I don't have to hide myself anymore when a silly orange supporter shows up. I will say it's a norwegian dressed up like a dutchie :p

If Holland won't win I hope the portuguese will. They have been so close lately (Lilith...don't kill me!) But I still think Germany is going to do it. It's just a thought.
 
Germany was very lucky with the pool, weren't they? That's a huge benefit. Does anyone knows the results from today (wednesday)?

There were only two i believe, thanks!! So Portugal is sure to continue to the next rounds, that's cool. But Switserland is probably out, they've lost two games, too bad for one of the host countries.
