I would watch Russia Sweden too, but i´m away, and after that i go to my sis, so i guess we won´t do much football watching anyway:rolleyes:

But it will be a while before the Netherlands have to play against Italy again (if it happends at all), and i mean, Italy has to beat Spain before that:eek: I don´t really see that happening yet... Wait, it was Italy - Spain, right?
 
I think Portugal is going to take it all. Or Netherlands, or... ok. seriously, Portugal looks like a serious contender, but the Nederlanders are looking better.
 
I've changed my favorite team. Right now I hope that Russia will win. If anyone remembers the old Russian team, they've done so much improvement it's almost impossible to imagine. Now I hope that Russia wins. And I think it's a fair chance. Tomorrow; Holland - Russia. Who do you think will win? I have no idea, but I kinda hope for Russia =P
 
Mwuah.....I really don't care. I do like Guus Hiddink. He is a very great coach.
As I said before; I am happy Oranje has done great so far and we can be satisfied but if they lose I will do everything but crying. Maybe I will cheer because this craziness is finally over.

So Russia defeated Sweden then? I haven't heard anything about it but I feel proud at Guus. He brought Russia back on top. (Will we get an invasion of Russians perhaps? After what he did with South-Korea we had an invasion of koreans visiting our country and especially Guus' place of birth)

I still have to favor Holland because I am in the Dutch islands here, and I have so many friends who are going crazy for Oranje!

I do like the Russians, too, though. Oh boy, it's going to be a crazy day here on Saturday!
 
I'm pretty excited for Saturday. I just heard some tragic news though, one of the Dutch players, Khalid Boulahrouz, was called away during the game yesterday. His wife was pregnant, but the child was born too early, and died yesterday evening:(
Of course he, his family and the whole team is shocked by this. It's horrible!:(

Anyone saw Portugal - Germany today? Definatly the best match in this championship as of yet. The last minutes was INTENSE

The championship is what we call "open", there are no clear candidates anymore. Maybe Germany - Italy in the final, and those of you who know something about previous history of football would find that alittle clichè ;)
 
I thought Germany would win the titel but after they lost from Croatia I wasn´t so sure. But now they defeated Portugal.
Boulahrouz (sp?) is going to play against Russia. He wants to do this. So let's hope he will be able to keep his minds with the game. But it's tough.
If Russia will go through I will hope they will get into the finals. Then it will be a tiny bit of Oranje (Guusje!)
 
I was hoping for Portugal to beat Germany, but i only saw the last couple of minutes, and Germany won, so... That'll be interesting:D I wonder what will happen IF Croatia and Germany will have to play against each other again.
 
Turkey - Croatia ... Turkey keeps on surprising. In EVERY single match, Turkey has scored in the FINAL minutes, and it's been absolutely VITAL everytime. What happened this time was that Croatia scored in the extra rounds (One minute before the penalty rounds), then, one minute and three seconds later, Turkey scores the goal they need, then they win the penalty round.. I mean.. WHAT THE?!?!?!

Finally this stupid craziness is over. How I hated it and we can't complain because who expected this result????? We have come into the quarter finals

GUUS RULEZZZZ (btw...the people here are behaving childish. They are angry and it's only a game)

It's interesting who is going to win but I'm convinced Germany is going to claim the title.

I'm not agry, i am dissapointed though. :(

Russia did earn it, they played very well, especially the first part of the game they were obviously the stronger team, after that we came back a little, but Russia was very good. Better than we expected i think. I mean, our team beated France, Italy and Rumania, three good teams, and we lose against Russia, a team that no one expected to do this well.

I think my heart just aged a few years because of the excitement! :rolleyes:

Now i would like Russia to win too, simply because that would really be unexpected!:D

I am sad :(
