Favorite Scene From The Lotr Movies

It's in the extended addition, (and the book too).

Gimli sits on an Uruk corpse after the battle. Legolas comes forward and says he killed 41. Gimli laughs and says he killed 42. Legolas instantly looks moody, draws an arrow, and shoots the corpse beneath Gimli, says that's his 42nd dead Uruk, and explains that it was twitching and had to be still alive. We pan out to see that the corpse has Gimli's axe inbedded in it's skull. The scene ends with Gimli, amazingly, disallowing this so-called 'kill'.

My favortie scene is when Boromir is protecting merry and pippin during the last battle in Fellowship of the Ring. You have to give major props to him. He lasted three arrows (or four, I forget the number)! And then he realizes his fault and confesses it to Aragon.

yes! that's another of mt favourtie scenes. especially in the extended version where it's longer. actually, now that i think about it, just about all of the final battle counts as my favourite 'scene.' it's much better than the fights in the later movies. i found this fighting, especially boromir's death scene, much more emotional than the large scale battles of the later movies. also the later battles all seem to be over-edited, so it's very hard to know quite what's going on at times.

Yes, Boromir was a tough guy, and he was only trying to do his best for his father and his country. That is a good scene, but it's so intense!

i like the aragorn's coronation, the ents, bilbo's party, and sam's wedding. but my absolute fav. part was from the extended version of "The Return of the King" when Eowyn and Faramir hold hands. i really liked it b'cause they were my two favorite characters and i had just let go of a boy i had fancied when i first saw the scene... i kind of already felt like Eowyn cause i'm not a sissy and i thought Faramir was the hottest guy in the trilogy so i felt sooooo much better after i saw it.

id have to say i love the weathertop scene, the scene where gandalf returns, and the one where pippin is singing while tey are going into battle. the whole thing is good. its hard 2 deciede

I like it when Legolas kills the elephant(i don't know how to spell the one in LOTR) and gimli says, "THAT STILL ONLY COUNTS AS ONE!!!

Two that spring to mind are both in the extended versions- in first one in the pub in Hobbiton, when Merry and Pippin are singing and dancing. It just looks like they're having such a laugh. And another one, which is quite similar- when Legolas and Gimli have a drinking competition and get to the point where Gimli collapses, whereas Legolas' hand 'feels tingly' .

OH THAT SECOND ONE IS MY SECOND FAV! (I only have the ex.version) it was funny because the drink barely effected Legolas!!! Because he was an elf! hehehe

If I have ONE favourite scene, I think it would be the charge of the Rohirrim in ROTK, including Theoden's speech. Most of these epic movies involve some sort of cheesey "motivational" ditrade, but I actually found Theoden's to be moving. Also, "DEATH!!!!!" is just a cool pre-charge yell. It could either mean death to your enemies, or a defiant, sucicidal call showing how the army is willing to fight to the bitter end without fear.

I loved the "I am no man" line! It was wicked awesome. :D Though, I would have preferred if they used the book's wording "No living man am I". It probably would have sounded corny in the movie, but I just like the cadence better.

Cool! They are both my favourite scenes too! I love it when you hear the horn blowing and see the Rohirrim on the horizon and Theoden's speech is perfect.

I like the scene at the end of the Return of the King where everyone's kneeling to the four hobbits-they deserved that so much! All of them looked really surprised and they were all grinning. :D Yeah, that was a great scene to top off the crowning of Aagorn.

wow i have way to many.
i love the scene where gandalf comes back, the scene before he goes down. i like the part where he rides shadowfax to scare away the nazgules. and of course, the second breakfast scene. but above all my favorite would have to be where pippin is singing while the 2 sides are going in2 battle. the first time i saw it it sent chills down my spine. its so powerful, i love it!

that seen was sad...the knights knew they didn't stand a chance...the tomato juice dribbling down denethor's chin was enough to know it went horribly... :(

my fave scenes?the entmoot...eomer taking out a mumak, and gandalf whacking denethor in the head with his staff! :D

i also enjoyed the charge of the rohirrim-not so much when they ran into the mumakil though...
