For the Love of the Tree

How do you feel about Lossy's Treeness?

 I give you nice sheep, with soft wool and good temperaments, and what do you do? You eat them!

A few days ago, before reading this thread, I was talking with D about the different animals in Dufferland. We discussed where the animals might live, and one of us (I can't remember which) suggested that they live under the branches of the Lossy-tree. Artist though I am not, I drew (or attempted to draw) this. (This was before I knew that Lossy's branches were piney, so I modeled the tree after the White Tree of Gondor.)

We likes the squirrel, precious. The Lossy-tree's piney branches do seem tangly, but...trees have bad hair days, too. (We have no bad hair days, precious. We have no hair. But we likes Celly to draw sheep, precious....)

Hee hee. :D

As you are already aware, Sister Dear, I think that the evil squirrel is terrific. ^.^

Hmm... I'm not sure what I think of Derny being on the same side as me on this matter... To be honest, it's somewhat unsettling.

Sorry, oh Queen. You're still a duffer. :p

(PS, that squirrel is amazing!)

O Lossy-tree
How maplely
You look in spring and summer;
But winter brings
Some different things
(Cold branches are a bummer).

Oh tree, oh tree, oh tree,
Open your eyes and see,
From delusions, set free:
You are indeed a tree

That's to the tune of and fits the rhythm of "The Phil Anthem", which none of you know. This is Phil. He's a stuffed emoticon from another forum, which I was a member of years ago. One member made it for the twins, other members, when she met them a few years ago, and I got to meet Phil when my sister and I met the twins. Sorry for the confusing sentence. xD I can't use names, which makes it even more convoluted...

I considered resizing the photo, but don't want to go to the effort, and besides, the size adds to the effect. :D

The sight of Waldo should shake the squirrels from your branches, and what are you doing? You're sitting on your roots, producing sap!

They keep...tickling me. *squirms* Plus, she seems to have picked up a mad buffalo on Facebook, thanks partly to you. Huang He (Sushi's 3rd cousin twice removed, for those who don't have D on Facebook) keeps hiding squirrels up the sleeves of his robe and then siccing them on me. Chinese-born mad buffalos...grrr....

As does Huang He.

Huang He: *digs in hooves*
Glen: *jabs Huang He with piece of Chinese pottery*
Huang He: *kneels* *gives mad buffalo-smile to Tree* *glares at Glen*

(Well, Huang He was literally just discovered four hours ago on Facebook.) He's been living with you for years, and you didn't know? *notes Huang He sprawled across the Tree's roots, reading a book of Chinese poetry*

And "Huang He" rhymes with "Sushi." Kind of. (Hey, you asked. It just...flowed. That's what happened with Sushi's name, too. Call it inspiration...or evidence of a disturbed mind...or the necessary results of the case brief I'm trying to finish at the moment....

Sushi is the name of a poet?! I thought it was the name of that nasty Japanese raw fish stuff.

(Personally, I'd never name a mad buffalo after one of my favorite poets...they have a tendency, except for Toodles, to go on rampages and ruin their reputations. And even Toodles has moments when his ethicality just becomes to much for any sane person to handle.)
