Due to his success in "Kingdom of Heaven" former elf Bloom may play the young but valorous Caspian in the 2nd Disney flick of the Narnia series. With Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean, the Narnia sequel would make him a three time winner in the fantasy bonanza now hitting Hollywood.

His sudden availability is due to production problems on another project, which may delay release or completely send the film straght to dvd based on screenings responses. Opening room in his schedule is now available for a tight shoot on a strictly paced shooting schedule with pickups. The actor's slight frame and youthful appearance may convince audiences he is a boy Prince.

Is this why Disney is delaying principal photography for "Caspian"?

Bloom's current acting gigs end at the post prod on Caribbean 2 and principal filming Pirates 3. Rumors about the actor's unhappiness with proposed editing might be making him anxious to resume leading man roles.

He is unsigned to other projects as yet after those above.

Tom Wilkinson may play Uncle Miraz.

Trivia note: Wilkinson was almost cast as Denethor or Theoden in LOTR but didn't want to take the long time off away from family.

I doubt that Orlando Bloom would play King Caspian. He has to do "Pirates of the Caribbean 2" as well as the third PotC. I am not sure who will play King Caspian. But Tom Wilkinson might do a good job as Miraz. Remember, the actors in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" were unknown actors and Orlando is pretty much one of those Hollywood actors. Caspian starts off as a boy and Orlando would be too old for the role. Luckily Tom Cruise isn't being King Caspian

Well, I do like most of Orlando Blooms "Sword Movies" POTC and LOTR, Are my favorites of all, but like evryone's saying, he's far too old! And I too enjoy seeing new faces on the Narnia movies. The only Character I could ever picture him playing is Emeth, from the last battle.

*shudders* ew tom cruise?

For me its ok that Orlando Bloom will be Prince Caspian he is more o.k. than the others. But some people said that he is old enough to be the prine caspian WHY? is the biggest question!!!! how old is prine caspian anyway....... well this is my opinion dont be angry if I want him. :)

hannah :D

I don't see why people are so worked up over this! Think logically here, y'all...Bloom will NOT play Caspian. I am 100% positive. We have nothing to fear - Adamson is not that...um, for lack of a better word...unintelligent. ;)

How 'bout we change the cast? Not Bloom anymore! I once think that RICHARD DEMPSEY, the cast of Peter in Narnia in BBC version could be match as King Caspian. He's old enough for that.Check for him!

*throws up* Sorry :(

um...

I would go with no he shouldn't. I know without a doubt that he could pull it off and do it. But people would difinately recognize him and then laugh at the movies and probably say how dumb the movies, and casting directors, are for doing that. I think it would disgrace the valueable reputation of the new series that was just started by WD and Walden. yeah...NO.

Oh!I get now!Thanks a lots for the correction :D

Orlando Bloom is too old aswell as any other actor over 15.
The actor playing Caspian should be about 13-15.
May be an adult can play Caspian in the dawn treader, but not in Prince Caspian because he is a child there.

Prince Caspian blond?

Just wondered, I may not have read the book closely enough, but seeing as C.S. Lewis' descriptions of his characters are so sparse, why is everyone assuming Caspian will be blond? I don't remember him being physically described even once; plus, although his behaivour seems to point to a certain age, that isn't really specified either is it? I may be wrong...

Hmm. *was going to write something else but decided to open a new thread*...
