Homeschoolers in Highschool, Part Two

Grant sat in his room practicing a song that was new to him (in a "guitar playing" kinda new). The song was called "Times", which was by one his favorite bands, "Tenth Avenue North". He loved listening to it all the time, cause of how powerful it was, and now that he had the chords he could now play it.

Brendan walked into the Pansit Paradise to check on his buddy, to see how he was holding up.

"Hi, Brendan! You know Mr. Kramer, I understand; that's okay, he's a BIG enough friend for both of us to share!" Alipang had a sudden twinge of pain in his side, but made a joke of it as he pressed a hand against the spot. "We're having a special on RIBS tonight."
 
Nodding acknowledgement to Brendan, Alipang answered his phone.

"Hi, sweets! Yeah, I'm still on my feet, and I don't see any vultures circling over me. Callie's family and Summer were here; Mr. Kramer's here now, and Brendan just came in. You having a good time at that INFERIOR Italian restaurant? You can send their chef over, and we'll teach him how to make PROPER noodles!"

"Hey Brendan. Yeah (looking at Mr. Kramer), we know each other." he laughed, and shook Mr. Kramers hand. He asked both, "How are you doing?"
 
"The bleeding's only restarted twice since it was stopped the first time," said Alipang to his sister. "So far, I haven't served any blood-flavored lumpia to anyone."

At the same time, Wilson Kramer was saying to Brendan, "As I've told Al, I'm going to get deputized by the sheriff's police to patrol your school."

"Are you? Thats pretty cool. With all due respect, as a Navy SEAL, kids will be terrified." said Brendan, he joked that last bit, but was still serious.
 
" Oh, Al do be careful next time OK?," she told him, with a worry tone " I don't want to tell mum you went to the hospital next time," she told him, with a sigh.
 
"Some of them need to be terrified...so the innocent ones WON'T be," Mr. Kramer told Brendan.

Alipang said to Chilena, "I promise to be careful--about falling for girls who think I'm retarded."
 
" No, No Al I mean getting into fights I know you mean good, but I don't want to loose you to," she told him, now sounding like she was crying.

"Thats definitely something I agree with. Um sir, I had wanted to ask you, but I kept forgetting to when we were ever together, but what would you say to someone, like myself, interesting in joining the Navy? Specifically, the SEALS like yourself? asked Brendan attentively.
 
"I love you, Chilena, I love you so very much," Alipang told his sister in Tagalog. "I keep telling you, I don't look for trouble, it looks for me. When trouble comes looking for the people I care about, it IS looking for me."


Meanwhile, Mr. Kramer said to Brendan in English, "First, work on your physical fitness beginning yesterday. Second, develop good academic habits, because they apply to military training. Third, meet with a recruiter to find out the most current conditions. Fourth and most important, begin seeking God's will."
