I Wonder who could play the Green Witch??

It doesnt matter if you can't stand her. If she's the best for the part, she should be cast. That said, I think there are better actresses for the part.

I was wrong about Laura Brent...but I kind of agree with BK here. I don't know if I prefer brunette or blonde, really it doesn't matter (although you'd want to make sure to make the differences between the Lady of the Green Kirtle and Jadis in TMN as obvious as possible), but so many of the mentioned actresses aren't good actresses. I mean, at least from what I've seen of Paquin and Portman, I don't care for how they act. Paquin has the most annoying acting style, and don't even ask about Portman's "acting", if you can call it that.

As with all the other people in the movies, the actress they choose for the Lady of the Green Kirtle should be an unknown. There's a lot of untapped talent out there, and they need to tap into it.

"And say, what's wrong with having a blond actress? I would prefer blond"

BK, I see nothing wrong with a blond actress. I have already mentioned that hair color, unless it is vital to the plot, is irreleant.

That said, A natural red-head is the most gorgeous for me. :)

I dont see how Gemma at age 24 and only having been in a couple big movies is "past her prime." If anything, she is just starting to get into the swing of things.
with those fake lips? ugh! Someone pretty and blonde (or red head like MrBob sais), and unknown. Ahhhhh! the woman of my dreams!!! That's who they should get!!!

I dont see fake lips there.

These pictures look older...so if the first one you posted on the first page is a more current one, her lips ARE much uglier and bigger.

Besides, she looks too young. The actress they choose should be more mature, and these actresses just aren't. To me the Lady of hte Green Kirtle has to look like an Elf; not with ears, but more of a timeless beauty, along the lines of Galadriel. Somebody who is beautiful but who can kill you just by looking at you.

One reason that Lilliandil is so beautiful is because she looks like any woman you might see, not like a starved, airbrushed super-model. She looks natural, which makes her all the prettier. I hope they can find make a similar achievement when they cast the Lady of the Green Kirtle.

NO! I want the Lady of the Green Kirtle to be hot! Laura was pretty, but nowhere near as hot as she should have been.

The Lady of the Green Kirtle is suppossed to be one of the best looking women in the world.

Now Gemma isnt the most beautiful womman in the world, but she is very beautiful and she does have red hair (I still think it should be changed a bit for the role) and her lips arent unnatural.

Anyway, I think the Lady should have a bit of a supermodel look to her. I always though Ramandu's Daughter represented an innocent beauty where the Lady of the Green Kirtle represented a seductive beauty.

What about Milla Jovovich? I've not seen her act before, but she certainly looks the part. They would just have to make her hair longer, but thats not too big a problem.

Wow, she's pretty! She could do it!

Jadis was supposed to be one of the "best looking women in the world", but Tilda wasn't. Just saying. Her acting was great, her look was not.

I actually think you're misjudging Laura. In everything I've seen her in, she is VERY beautiful. I, not so long ago, thought she wasn't right for the role, but after seeing her in costume, in clips, and in interviews, I've completely changed my mind.

Gemma's lips aren't unnatural?! Did you not see the picture on page 1? Talk about Angelina Jolie-ugly.

Yeah, Ramandu's Daughter and the LotGK are two different people and shouldn't be compared. I'll always keep this opinion: an unknown should be cast in the role. Not just someone who "looks good", but someone who can act the part. Someone who just absolutely oozes evil and seduction is something that goes way beyond just outward beauty. The LotGK needs to look like an extraordinary beauty, but supermodels, IMHO aren't all that attractive.

Have you even seen Gemma in anything? She's a good actress, fairly unknown, and can pull of the Lady. She doesnt look unnatural. And the lips are not ugly. If you think they are fake, fine, but they are no where near as big as Jolie's. The reason they look pic on the front page is because she is kissing the camera (pose wise, not litterally).

Still, I'm sure there is someone who could be better.

Anyway, I think Laura is great as Lilliandil. I saw the movie. But I don't think she's quite as beautiful as described. But she plays the part well and overall I was pleased.

I think she looks a lot better in the premire pics then the movie. Maybe I was just distracted by her shiny blue glow.

Maybe you were distracted waiting to see if Orcs would come in and storm the scene!!!:D

Lilliandil's made by elves: she glows blue when orcs are near! And those are times when you have to be extra careful...

I think Laura Brent is good for Lilliandil, but I dislike the whole blue glow. It's too bright, for one thing; a tinge of light might have been good, but she looks over the top in the images and videos I've seen.

I think the Lady of the Green Kirtle should be played by an unknown and should be very beautiful, almost seductive. I also think the person playing her should have something scary about her when playing the part.

What I wonder is how they'll do a flashback scene of Lilliandil's death showing a green serpent without giving away who the LotGK is.

Part of me actually feels Lilliandil's murder should be the opening scene of the movie, before we cut to our world for the opening credits.

Since VDT has excluded any inkling of a marriage between Caspian and Lilliandil, the most common sense thing for them to open TSC with is either a wedding scene or something similar. You can't have an unwed couple having a baby. Oh wait, that's common place nowadays.

Just kidding, but if they keep Rilian as who he is in the book, they MUST show Lilliandil and Caspian getting married before Lilliandil is killed. The opening of the film should devote 10-15 minutes on the marriage, delivery of Rilian, and the events leading up to and after Lilliandil's murder.

And filmmakers are very sneaky, so I'm sure they'll figure out something to trick us. ;)
