A Brief Introduction To Me

Hello Friends

Briefly, I am as old as the hills (66);), retired after 35 years in IT with Boeing, happily married to my bride of 43 years and living in Southern California. I have been a devotee of Lewis and his writings for almost the same length of time and I too love Narnia although I first came to Lewis through his more theological writings - "Mere Christianity", "Miracles", "The Problem Of Pain", etc.

I also put out a podcast on C S Lewis and his books and have covered 5 of the 7 Chronicles as well as "The Great Divorce". Please check it out via iTunes if you wish or at

I'm rather jealous of the nice graphics many of you have for you posts/signatures and will have to remedy that lack "soon".

If you don't mind, I can recommend some graphics-makers on TDL who are always very good :):

SusantheGentleHornBlower (Nicki) [ you can request something custom or you can also use whatever else she has made and posted so long as credit is given]

Narnian of Gryffindor (Josh) [however, Josh isn't taking requests at the moment. I think, though, that you can use whatever he has up in his photo album so long as you give credit, as I have in my siggy.]

W. Cleopia (Cleo) [also, I think is not taking requests at the moment, though I am not sure.]

Earendil the Mariner


and there are others, too. :p

Just check out the Brush of Unicorn, Hide of Bull forum. :D

my name's Ariel and even though i just registered, i have been a whole-hearted Narnia fan for my entire life!!! i absolutely love ALL of C.S. Lewis' books!
since i'm the new kid here, i would much appreciate it if ya'll could tell me some worthwhile threads to check out, thanks!
 
weeeeeeeeeeell, back when I first came here, I spent most of my time discussing the PC movie. :p

But I recommend the forums on the actual books, the Socratic and Christianity forums, etc... :D

Lefluffball was the nickname of the Pomeranian we used to have...we lost her several years ago, and I've always used her name for my username. :) I was searching google for Narnia news(when I heard about Disney dropping VDT), and came across narniafans.com. I'm glad I did! :D

Yep, I saw the thread about VDT. I hope another studio picks it up quick! :)

I'm completely fascinated by how huge this board is...I've been on several other boards(but this is my first Narnia one), and this has to be the biggest one I've ever seen. :D

Slippers because of the split personality bunny slippers who may randomly speak to you. And, like Copperfox, I just wanted to give you another taste of the people here....who aren't in Denver and who like slippers. :D
