I'm not a massive Narnia fan, but I've read The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and it was pretty good, plus my girlfriend told me to join. I guess it's a good enough excuse to read the rest of the series and meet some new folks at any rate. so hi, guys.

Well met, Megan! Your arrival gives me the chance for another shameless plug. If you look in the major section "Professor's Writing Club," you can find in it a topic thread called "Sonnets Here, In-House." This consists mostly of poems written for the specific purpose of describing the personalities of Dancing Lawn members past and present.
 
Yes, that is why. You need to have made some posts to earn, so to speak, recognition. Posts in this topmost general section, and in the "Duffers" area farther down, do not count for seniority. There are many topic threads in between, where you can write entries with your views on this or that, and you'll have won your privileges in no time.

I see a "newest member" note identifying a username "Sokol iz Narnii." That is either in Russian or one of the other Slavic languages; in Russian it would mean "Falcon from Narnia." So to that new member I say

Nick "Sokol_iz_Narnii" means "Falcon_from_Narnia" or "Narnian_Falcon" in translation from Russian into English.
You - the first who realized this!
My friends from England and the United States earlier thought that my nickname indicates Coolness in Narnia (So cooll in Narnia), - I was very fun to learn it.
