Poem

^_^_^_Heartbeat^_____
The up and down of the monitor,

Measures your heartbeat,

The heartbeat I grew to love,

Even though I never heard it,

Never got to press my hand

Against your chest

And feel the beating beneath the scar.

The many times that monitor went flat then returned

Brings tears to my eyes,

And reminds of the many times,

I almost lost you,

And the time that it stayed flat

Never to return

Almost brings me to my knees.

I try to keep the tears inside,

And a smile on the surface

Because I know that’s what you want,

But sometimes it’s to hard

And I fail.

Joe and Kandie excerpt......the red is parts I might change...

“What happened?” I heard Joe ask, I turned my head towards him and saw that he knelt beside of me. I wanted to talk but couldn’t over the pain slicing up my arm. “What did you do?” Joe glared at Jonah who stood a few feet away from me, and placed one hand on the top of my head.
Jonah scared Snow, and Kandie fell off when she bucked, she must’ve put her hands down to catch her and her wrist snapped.” Janise, who was checking my wrist, told him. I screamed when she picked up my hand.
I closed my eyes as more tears leaked out. “Joe, try to calm her I need to see if it’s broken.” She instructed her angered son.
Joe shifted his eyes back to me at his mothers order. “It’s OK, Kandie.” He tried to soothe me running his hand down my hair.
“It hurts so bad, Joe.” I managed to choke out.
“I know, honey, I know. Try not to focus on it.” Joe said. He placed his other hand underneath my chin so I couldn’t move my head to look down at my hand. “Look at me.” He whispered, I did. “Don’t think about it, think about something else.” He continued to rub his hand down my hair. “ Think about Polly’s wedding, or our camping trip (next month).”
“It’s broken, we need to take her to the hospital.” Janise proclaimed. “Help her stand.” She told Joe.
“I’ll carry her.” Joe glanced at Jonah not wanting him any closer to me, before sliding his arms underneath my shoulders, and knees and lifting my off the ground. I moaned as pain again shot up my arm as it moved slightly. “I’m right here, don’t cry.” Joe said as a few sobs escaped my mouth.
“I can’t help it.” I mumbled. I tried not to let the tears come again as even the bouncing of Joe’s walk jarred my body. I kept my eyes on Joe as he carried me, I heard the car door open, Joe placed me inside, and slid in beside me. Janise was in the drivers seat, her cell phone pressed against her ear. I leaned against Joe as his mom drove the car towards the hospital. I looked down at my useless hand that now rested in my lap, it was beginning to swell, and turn purple. More tears slid down my cheeks as I tried to move it.
“Stop moving it.” Joe told me, he reached up and brushed at my tears. “Did you enjoy the ride?” He asked trying to keep my mind off of it.
I nodded. “Yeah, up until this.” I couldn’t talk above a whisper due to I was trying not to cry. “It wasn’t very long, just a short ride.” I explained, I kept my eyes focused on the road outside of the window.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t go with you.” Joe apologized. “I wish I could have. Especially now.” He balled his hand, that wasn’t placed around my shoulders, into a fist. “What did he do to scare Snow?” He asked.
“I…I’m not sure.” I admitted shaking my head. “I saw him out of the corner of my eye, and I don’t know if he came too quickly towards her, or what it was..” I lifted my eyes to his face.
Joe returned my gaze. “All I know is that he hurt you, whatever he did, and I don’t plan on letting him anywhere near you again.” He had a look of determination in his dark eyes. “Don’t tell me not to be mad, either.” He added as I opened my mouth to say something but at his words I closed it back.
Janise pulled the car into the Hospitals parking lot, parked, and we walked into the large building. I had my arm pressed against my stomach. “Dr. Sanders.” Janise called to the man dressed in khaki’s and a white doctors coat. The man turned and walked over to us. “Her (right) hand.” She said nodding towards me.
“Let’s get you into a room, and have it x-rayed.” Dr. Sanders spoke pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, as he examined my hand. I tried not to cry out at the pain.“Joe, let her go.” Janise placed a hand on her sons arm that wasn’t around my waist.
“You can come stand outside of the room if you want.” Dr. Sanders said as he watched Joe. Joe nodded and we followed the doctor through a few doorways, into another part of the hospital. Joe reluctantly removed his arm from around my waist once we reached the x-ray room. I followed the doctor inside, and he closed the door behind us. (NOTE: Might have them go into room too…explain process)

***I leaned against the wall directly across from the door, Dr. Sanders had taken Kandie behind.
“She’ll be fine.” My mom assured me, as she watched.
“I know. I just don’t like her being hurt. Especially as much as she is.” I held onto the silver railing behind me with both hands.
“I know that.” Mama smiled at me. “And she knows you do too.” She placed her hand, once again, on my arm. “Your brother may have tried to hurt you in the past, but I don’t think he did this on purpose.” She explained.
“That’s hard to believe.” I admitted to her. I didn’t like Jonah near Kandie, even before now.
“Mom.” Jane ran up to us, with my dad right behind her. “Is she OK?” Fear was in my sisters eyes as she looked from me to our mom.
“She’s being x-rayed now.” Mama replied when I didn’t answer.
“Where’s Jonah?” Dad asked not seeing him.
“He stayed home.” was all my mother said in reply. We stood there for a few silent moments.
(“Joseph!” A scream from the other side of the door sounded, calling my name. I gripped the railing at the sound of her scream, it took all that I had not to run into the room. That and my dad’s hand gripping my arm. I couldn’t stop the few tears that came to my eyes, from sliding down my face. I saw Jane’s hand pressed against her mouth, she too was trying not to cry.)
***I stood with my parents and Joe outside the x-ray room when I heard Kandie scream his name. I raised my hand to my mouth at the sound of my friends pain, and the sight of the tears sliding down Joe’s face. He was gripping the silver railing behind him so hard, his knuckles were white. I tried hard to keep my own tears inside, seeing Joe cry was making it difficult. My big brother never cried. And when he did there was a big reason.

Tidbits...

Here is something I came up with..I know it's Joe and Kandie...I'll write something different ASAP...

BannerRequestforDestinyLies3.jpg
"Kandie." Joe grabbed onto my arm to stop me. "Go upstairs, and go to sleep." He told me.
"No, I'm fine." I shook my head at him.
"No, you're not. You're exhausted, Kath, go take a nap." Joe cupped his hands around my face, so I would look at him. "Please, love, you look like you're about to collapse." He told me.
"Joe-" I tried to speak but he cut me off.
"Go, Katherine. Now." Joe looked at me, (determination) mixed with a plea was in his eyes.
I sighed. "All right." I gave into him.
"Good girl." Joe smiled at me, leaned forward, and planted a kiss on my forehead. "You still look gorgeous, by the way."
I gave him a tired smile. "Thank you." I turned, walked up to my bedroom, and was a sleep on my bed a few minutes later.
******

I sat down on the living room couch, and sighed while running my fingers through my hair.
"What are you sighing about?" My mother, who sat in a chair reading, asked me looking up from her book.
"Kandie. She's stubborn." I looked up at my mom. "She'll keep going and going until she's about to collapse." I shook my head, a smile spreading up my face.
"And you're crazy about her, Joe." Mom smiled back at me. "You always have been." She closed the book she had been reading. "Before we left for England we were visiting her family, and you stayed with her, Sarah, and Jane as Daniel, and (David) were swinging them around. You weren't worried about Sarah or your sister getting hurt. You were watching Kandie." She smiled sweetly at me. "I don't understand it, just like you don't, how two people can love eachother for so long, and still be together. I just know that my son has been in love with the same little girl ever since he was eight-years old, and has never stopped loving her. He only continues to protect, watch, and take care of her." She sat back comfortably in her chair.
"And I will continue to do that, until the day I die, or Christ comes." I told her, and I ment it. "I don't want her to hurt herself by tiring herself." I leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knees. "She's always focused on others, and never on herself." I clasped my hands together, Kandie's love for others was one of the many things I loved about her. It was almost a weakness of hers. She would get so focused about taking care of others that she often forgot about taking care of herself.
Mom stood up from her chair, and stepped over to me. "Which is why you are perfect for her, Joseph." She placed her hands on either side of my neck. "You take care of her, while she takes care of others." She straightened back up and left the room.
I looked after my mom, she never called me Joseph. Only Kandie ever called me by my full first name. She must've gotten into her reading. I shrugged, stood, and followed her. I made my way up to the bedroom I shared with Kandie, opening the door slowly so as not to wake her. My wife lay asleep on her back on our bed, one hand resting on her stomach, the other by her head on her pillow. I lie down next to her, and closed my eyes.

Just Writing...again.

Just Writing again......

JW4.jpg

It seems like yesterday that I was here, at my aunt and uncle's house. There is a difference, a major difference, in July 31 and tonight. Then I was talking to him again, role playing late into the night, and smiling because of things he said. Tonight, he is not only not online...but not here, not on earth. I no longer have him to talk to, to message or text when I am bored or need someone. I no longer have him to make me smile when I am down. He is not here to ask me "what's wrong?" when I don't even show that I am not OK. She said that they (he and her) "loved each other more than they thought", and that he didn't like me as more than a friend. I know he loved me, if it was just as a friend or if it was more than that I don't know........

I opened my eyes back, when I felt her touch me, I smiled when I realized she was still asleep, and just as usual was just feeling me next to her. I slipped one arm around my petite wife, and closed my eyes again.

I felt Joe lying next to me, as I began to wake out of my slumber. I slipped my arm from around his waist, as I opened my eyes. I sat up, pushing my hair back out of my face.
“Hey, baby.” Joe whispered.
“Hey.” I looked down at him, his smiled stretched across his face.
“Did you sleep well?” Joe rubbed his hand up and down my back.
I nodded. “Mm-hmm.” I smiled sleepily at him. “I needed it.” I tilted my head to one side.
“Are you glad I made you come up here?” Joe reached up and touched my face. “You’re pretty.” He sounded like a twelve-year old little boy instead twenty, it was so cute.
I laughed. “Thank you.” I leaned down and kissed him. “You don’t look so bad yourself.” I tapped my finger against his lips, slid my hand down his neck, and pressed it against his chest.
Joe smiled. “You can go back to sleep if you need to.” He told me, pressing his hand against my stomach. “You need to rest whenever you’re tired.” He said. “Don’t wear yourself out.” He rubbed his thumb up and down my abdomen. “You need to stay healthy.”.......................

Another tidbit....

Yes..I know..but it's my main story....

I sat on a log by the fire in the lower pasture, my hands cupped around a mug of hot chocolate. I looked towards Joe who was playing football with my brothers, and his friends. I smiled as Joe fell into the snow holding on to the football, with Lucas and Jonah on top of him. I took a sip of my cocoa, looking over the brim of my cup at the pile of boys. I heard Joe's familiar laugh as he shoved the other two boys off of him, they all three stood, brushed the snow off of themselves, and resumed playing. I watched them fight over the ball while I drank my beverage. I looked into the fire, warm and blazing infront of me.
"Is the fire that interesting?" I jumped at the noise.
"Oh, you scared me." I looked over at Joe, who had sat down beside of me.
"Sorry, love." Joe apologized with a laugh. He slipped his arm around my waist, and planted a small kiss on my lips. "Did you put caramel in your drink?" He asked.
"No, why?" I looked down at my hot chocolate, then back up at Joe.
"Because you still taste like it." Joe replied, before pressing his lips against mine again.
"I'm sorry." I set my cup down on the ground.
"No, don't apologize. I don't mind, at all." Joe told me, his smile showing the dimple in his right cheek.
"I didn't think so." I smiled back at him. "Is the game over?" I asked him looking towards where the football game had been going on.
"We decided to take a break, and warm up." Joe pulled me closer to him, his smile stretching farther up his face.
"Easy, Joe, we are only taking a break. We're not quitting the game." Lucas spoke teasingly to Joe. He sat on the other side of the fire with Jonah.
"Shut up. You wouldn't be saying anything if Josey were here." Joe retorded, making a face at his friend.
I giggled. "Joseph." I whispered his name, I waited for him to look down at me, before kissing him on the mouth.
"OK, that's good enough. Let's go lover boy." Lucas, who had walked over to where we sat, pulled at Joe's coat.
Joe squeezed my hand before standing and following his friends.
"Dude, cool it." Lucas shoved at Joe's shoulder as they walked to the field. "You have a few more months before you marry that beauty, don't go too far now."
"I'm not planning on it." Joe told him. "But sometimes it's hard." He added.
"I can tell." Lucas shook his head. "Now catch." He held up the football he had in his hand......

And another....JPoV (Joe's Point of View)

*Joe*
I sat in a chair by Kandie's bed. Kandie lie asleep on her bed with a temperature, blankets were piled on top of her. I was beginning to worry about her, she got sick often. Much too often. I leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knees, letting my head fall into my hands. I listened to my girlfriend breath, and cough every once in a while, in her sleep. Her being sick didn't make me feel any better about being gone away from her in the military. I loved being in the Army, and I didn't like being away from Kandie as much as I was, but it was a choice I had made that I couldn't, and didn't, want to get out of. The only way I could keep Kandie with me while I was on base was to marry her but I couldn't do that. I was only eighteen years-old, and she only seventeen.
"Joseph."
I looked up at the sound of my name. Kandie was still asleep on her bed, she turned her head back and forth. "Joseph." She whispered again. I leaned over towards her.
"Kandie." I touched her shoulder. "Katherine, baby." I shook the girl as she muttered my name for the third time. "Baby, wake up." Kandie's eyes blinked open, her breathing was uneven. "Are you all right? You were talking in your sleep, honey." I placed my hand on the top of her head.
"A dream, Joe." Kandie said, looking up with me. "You were gone, and...and not coming back." She had tears in her eyes.
"Aw, honey, it's OK, I'm right here don't worry." I sat down on the side of her bed. "Go back to sleep, love. I'll be right here, I won't leave...for a while." I leaned down and kissed her forehead.
"Promise me, Joseph." Kandie whispered.
She was so sick she couldn't speak above a whisper, it hurt my heart. "I promise you, I'll stay here." I told her smiling. "Sleep, you need to get better." I waited until she closed her eyes, before again taking my seat in the chair.

I've caught up now. Good stuff Des. :D Your getting better. :D

Here's some things that you could write more on. Daniel's Dream is another option.

Illiana and Ariana Collestair are twin sisters. Elven princess twin sisters. The two are just turning 20 years old and are having their party. Lets join them....
Illiana sat in a small throne next to her sister Ariana. A table piled high with presents sat before them. Quite a few subjects and nobles were around the room. The princess let her green eyes search the room. When her eyes found what they were looking for they shined. Adain(Huor in elvish) [the son of Lord Elessar] stood talking to Joseph (Findarato in elvish)[son of Lord Normandie] who [unknown to her] her sister was looking at. Aidan had blue eyes and brown hair. He was almost a head taller then Illiana, who was 5'9'' herself.Just at that moment Aidan turned and caught her gaze he smiled at her. Embarassed at being caught staring Illiana looked away slightly blushing. "You got caught sister." Ariana teased her. She took her own gaze off of Joseph and looked at her sister."Go talk to him." She encouraged.
Illiana shook her head."Oh, I can't,Ari."She confessed.

I sat on my bed holding onto my cellphone. I was waiting for it to ring. I glanced at the front screen again for the fifth time. It glowed 9:20 PM. I sighed only 2 minutes had passed since the last time I checked. I was waiting for him to reply to my text message. Sometimes though it took him a while, and I knew that. I lay back against my pillows and closed my eyes. I soon fell asleep....

I stood pooring punch into the punch bowl. I messured out the ingridients consisting of pineapple juice, ginger ale, and punch into the glass bowl.I set the empty jug down and straightened back up. I stopped as I saw a blonde young man standing in the doorway to the fellowship hall. His eyes were on me...which made me feel uncomfortable. I almost turned and headed into the kitchen where my mother was at when he headed towards me. It didn't take him long to get to the punch table...I nodded and smiled politely at him
"Hello."I greeted.
"Hello."The young man nodded back."You aren't Candi are you?" He then asked.
"Umm, yes I am. Why?" I looked at him. I knew I knew who he was I recognized his voice and his face but I couldn't put a name with it.
"Because,Candi is who I am looking for." The young man stepped back and pushed his blonde hair off his forehead his brown eyes smiled at me.
"Jaden?" I asked him.
He nodded."Yes."
I stepped backwards almost tripping over a jug of juice."Uh, um what?....what are you doing here?" I stuttered.
"I came to see you." Jaden replied shyly....................

Pyralis stared up at Aidan her brown eyes flashing. "Leave me alone! I don't like you. Never will." She tried to get past him but he blocked her path. "Aidan, move!" She pushed at him.
Aidan grasped her shoulders. "What must I do to get you??" He asked her.
"Nothing,Aidan. I won't date you." Pyralis pulled away from him.
"Why? Every girl does?" Aidan said boastfuly.
"That'swhy I won't date you. Because you're a stuck up snob who thinks he's better than everyone else." Pyralis stepped past him, he let her go.
"You'll want me someday Pyralis."He called after her.
Whatever Aidan. Pyralis said to herself. She headed towards home. The wind blew and she pulled her coat tighter around her. That Aidan. OH! He think he's sooo perfect and that I should fall head over hills for him. UGh! THE SNOB!Pyralis turned into her yard and onto the porch, sitting down on the swing.

Destiny is a "Rose fairy" she lives in a rose and was sent by her father to Landon. The two become friends and oddly Landon finds himself falling in love with the inch tall fairy. As Destiny's birthday wish she wants to be able to become human size because she too has fallen in love with Landon. Marissa and ALyssa [I think are the head fairies names] grant her wish. Destiny then goes to Landon's prom where he sees her...they confess their feelings for eachother then, while dancing Destiny faints...as her rose begins to wilt. Only by Landons' kiss and his whispered "I love you" did she stay alive...... This is after all of that Landon's step dad has just yelled at him for who knows what.
Destiny fluttered down from the vase holding her roses. She watched Landon pace his room. "What's wrong?" She asked the young man.
"My step dad." Landon clenched his fists trying to control his anger.
Destiny grew human size and stood infront of Landon."What did he do?" She watched Landon's face soften.
"He got mad at me for coming home two minutes late lastnight." Landon sat down on his bed.
Destiny studied the boy, his [green?] eyes flashed, and his hair hung over his forehead. "Landon..."She spoke his name. "Were you trying to get home by curfew?" She asked.
"You are not taking his side are you?" Landon accused.
"No. I'm just asking." Destiny shrank back away from him.
"Of course I was,Des, if I wasn't I wouldn't have gotten home just two minutes after curfew." Landon reached towards her. "Come here I didn't mean to yell at you."
Destiny took his hand and let him pull her to him......

I've caught up now. Good stuff Des. :D Your getting better. :D

Here's some things that you could write more on. Daniel's Dream is another option.
Thanks .I will try my best...but I don't have my laptop right now, and when i go back to college Jan 2 I won't have as much free time as I did. Because we have camps on the weekends :( I will write new stuff (of those you said) as soon as I can. I PROMISE! I write Joe/Kandie a lot because it's my main story. I will write more...if i can remember them. I wrote some of the Landon/Destiny (first rose fairy) one but I don't know where it is. Probably on my lap top!

Ok I'm just gonna start writing again......:

This one I have a lot written for...I will try to update it, again sorry!

Ok here we go something TOTALY new!!!!:

This one i will have to actually remember what the plot is (as well as the Illiana and Ariana one). I don't remember what it is. haha.

An untitled poem!

Here is a poem I wrote today (January 16, 2010)

I stand here and wonder
Why I can not speak,
I don't like that I won't
Yet I seem to can't.
The stutter of my heart,
The shortness of breath;
I can't understand
(Why) I am so impacted
By some one I am
Afraid to talk to.
How can some one,
Who doesn't know me,
Make me smile so much?
Why, whenever I see him,
Do I turn so red,
And seem to lose focus
Of what I am doing??
It is rather pathetic,
In my opinion that is,
Especially since
I can't seem to
Over come my fear!
