King Herod finished dancing with Natalya and went back onto his throne.
He said, "I have an announcement to make. If all guests could please be seated."

"Excuse me," he stated to the crowd.
He bent over to Bella. "What is it, sweetie?"

"Too late, I fear. I can't back out now, I'll look like a fool...moreso then usual," said King Herod to Isabella.
He smiled and stood upright, holding his goblet in his hand.
"My daughter, Princess Isabella, is engaged to Prince Dirk, son of King Gerard. They will be married in a month's time," stated King Herod brightly, though inside he was dreading it.
"A toast, to Dirk and Isabella!" he exclaimed, raising his goblet and drank from it.
The other guests did likewise.

Bella smiled politely, feeling very awkward without Dirk standing next to her. She could see people looking around for Dirk and asking eachother where he was.
God, Dirk, where are you?!

IC:
Suddenly, Dirk appeared beside Isabella.
"You did not think I'd miss this," he smild at her and stood beside King Herod, raising his cup as people cheered and he drank to his good health.

ic: Bella heard Elisabeth's exclamation.
She looked at her younger sister, somewhat embarrassed.
She felt someone move to stand beside her.
It was Dirk
"Thank God. I was worried you'd miss it."

Luckilly, the appearance of Dirk and the cheering drowned out the exclaimation of Elisabeth to everybody else.
