"I heard that! Roul says their is a very respectable prince here that he wants me to meet... you wouldn't happen to know him, his name is Jason."

"It does sound slightly familiar, but then, I've met many of the royalty. They visit Father quite a bit."

ooc. what should Mara be doing
 
IC:
King Herod sat in his study, it was adjoined to his royal bedroom.
Dipping some ink onto his quill, King Herod started scribbling on a sheet of papyrus (parchment paper).
His writing glasses on the edge of his nose, King Herod was busy with new adjustments to the castle. He had planned a new convent to be stationed nearby, but first he had to take in the stock of Inventory. King Herod liked doing this himself, for then he knows he would be pleased with the result.
Leaning back in his oaken chair, which creaked with strain, King Herod stopped scribbling with his quill as he thought of his new wife. She used to be some high and mighty Duchess from somewhere, he could not recall the name. He had to marry her, despite the fact she was younger then himself, almost the age to be his daughter.
Times were hard, and King Herod needed a new wife after his second one passed away three years ago, during the war campaign. Hence, Elizabeth was a "wife-elect", choosen by the people, for the people.
King Herod was content, though. She was a good queen and a good mother figure to his three daughters, even though they have a governess to look after them.
Adjusting his royal robes, King Herod hunched over the table and began scribbling upon the parchment once more.

IC:
King Herod glanced up, stopping his scribbling.
For a moment he thought he heard a girl shout out.
Shaking his head, he thought he imagined it and went back to scribbling on the parchment.

ooc: Hailey isn't his daughter, but a visiting princess. Isabella (Bella) invited her...

ic: Bella hesitated for a moment.
"I don't know. I'd have to ask Father."
