Arrrr!!! Men get those oars rowing us out of here or I'll walk every last one of ye off the plank!!!

At least we got two of their guards!! That's good for us. Let us go back into sea and repair oour ship!

"They seem to be laying on more sail, sir", a lookout reports.
"Let's see how well they sail with half a mainsail", says one of the gun crew.
"They seem to be doing all right", the gunner said as the t'gallants fluttered into position. "They're setting the second jib."
"Well, perhaps they're not the worst pirates I've ever seen", mused the Prince.
"Sir! Casualties!" called a voice from below. "Two men in the water and numerous hits from flying stone!"
"I'm on it", said Lady Em, clattering down the stairs.

*BOOM*BOOM*BOOM*

(The cannons fire three last shots one of which takes out the castle banner and blows it to shreds) HAR! HAR!!! HAT!!! (They send two more cannon balls before turnign back to sea again)

"Cease fire, gunner", the Prince orders. "They're out of range."
"They got our ensign", grumbled the gunner.
"No matter. It had to have been one of the long nines - none of their other cannon could reach that high. Bend on a replacement and clear this up. Belay the firing of the pit, but keep the wood handy. If they come back, we want to give them a taste of red-hot shot."

Once down the stairs, LadyEm assessed the situation and began giving orders to the knights to bring the knights hit with stone to the medical quarters to be attended to.
They began reacting immediately, the little anteroom abuzz with action, and the injured were brought, with assistance down the stairs.
It was mostly bruises and cuts from the fallen rocks, though one of the men was limping, as though a stone had fallen and had broken his foot.

"Send up labourers to patch this whole in the wall, good men! Hurry, I need two of you who can swim to haul the two guardsmen out of the water!"

Two guardsmen, responded to her request and went running out of the castle at her orders. She herself, followed them, as the labourers and the head groundskeeper began to patch up the wall.

She slipped outside the castle walls, coming to the water's edge, looking out as the two guardsmen began haul the two bodies towards the shore.

At her feet a bottle was nudged in the waves, and she slowly bent to pick it up.

A voice broke into her thoughts as she looked at the little bottle with a tiny scroll of paper in it.
"Alas, my lady! These men are in poor shape!"

LadyEm looked up and hurried over towards where the guardsmen had brought their mates onto the shore. She knelt down next to them and pulled off their helmets, touching her fingers to each of their necks. One whimpered, the other was stone cold.
"This man, has gone to be with the Emperor over the Sea..." she spoke gravely, standing to her feet, "Quickly, we might save the other yet. But let it be known that this is what we are defending Narnia against: the death of our people and animals by the hands of the pirates..."

Other guardsmen joined them and lifted them between each other and brought them into the castle.

With a grave heart, LadyEm followed them. She looked down at the bottle questioningly and slowly uncorked it, pulling out the piece of paper to read.
"Those dastardly pirates!" she said, returning to the castle.

"Impossibly good luck!" says Parthian King, reading over Lady Em's shoulder. "An overland map to the pirate's hideout! That must have been inadvertant!"

"Or a trick," says Lady Em. "How could they have been so careless as to let their position go with such ease? Besides, this note mocking us makes my blood boil!"

"Oh, pirates and bottles, bottles and pirates--you know," says Parthian King. "They probably put the map in there by accident. In any case, it cannot be ignored. As long as they come by sea, we are on the defensive. Even if we had the ships, there's no using my cavalry against them at sea, and we Parthians have this thing about water..."

"What thing?" says Prince of the West, approaching from behind.

"We don't like it," says Parthian King.

"Oh," says the Prince.

"Anyway, this changes everything! It means we can go after them!" *Parthian King grins and rubs hands together* "At last, by the Lion's mane we shall see what a coordinated attack shall really look like! Flush the worm from its hole, I say!"

"Brilliant, absolutely Brilliant!" LadyEm smiles, "We must move to the war room for council with our Queen at once. Aslan is truly on our side..." She answered studying the map intently, as the three made their way across the beach and into the castle.

The three settle around the council table and send a messenger for the Queen. The Prince spreads out a map of the coastline and they set the pirate's parchment beside it.
"That's quite a way", the Prince comments. "Will your horsemen be able to cover the distance before the pirates get there?"
Parthian King gives the Prince a withering glare.
"Um - sorry", the Prince stammers. "They should be having to return to their base for repairs - our cannons winged them."

"The question is," said LadyEm presently, looking around the table, "Is who should go and who should stay? We cannot leave our castle unattended...if we do, it is likely that they should become suspicious if half our calvary is suddenly missing. However, do you think that one could cover such distance in a single night?"

"My Calvary could cover it in half a night," Parthian King declares.

"Very well then," Prince of the West answered, studying the map, "We shall bring the proposal to the Queen."

"That sounds like a good plan--we shall await word from the Queen," said the King, then *turning to the Prince* says, "There are no holes in our sails, good Prince, nor barnacles upon our hoofs. As you have seen, the ground scarce knows we have passed over it save the price it pays to feed our steeds, and the rumour of our coming is as the thunder, nay, the typhoon that sweeps the ship upon the rocks. Merely show me the plan, command me to command them, and I shall be at your service with relish. Yet I must remind you, long siege is not our forte. If they have any power to resist (scurvy dogs are they, but it is best not to underestimate one's foe.) Perhaps some giants may be enlisted, and some of the larger talking animals?"

fantasyfan1029 calls up to the castle parapet, "Your Majesties! If there is any use for a Patriot to the cause of Narnia, I am willing to fight for my country!" *draws two-handed blade* "I shall fight to the death if you may allow me to enlist!"

"I believe the Queen is away on diplomatic matters", the Prince shrugged. "We may have to make this call ourselves. Half the night, you say, my King?"
"Or less, if we are not hindered", the King assured him.
"Hmm - they have a broken mainsail, which will slow them. It's possible your men can beat them to their lair."
"We'd love to give them a firey greeting, sir", the King replied.
"Which but leaves the question of who will go and who will stay", replied Lady Em. "I am willing to do what I can for Narnia, but I have never commanded artillery."
"I would love to come", sighed the Prince. "But duty does not always allow me to indulge my wishes. I fear I must remain, and let the mighty Parthian King command his troops."
"With a good will!" cried the King.

my Lords! are you there! this one is a wandering warrior that is willing to fight the evils of the Pirate Forces!

"Ah, an experienced warrior!" says the Prince. "FantasyFan, have you any experience horseback?"

"yes, my lord, I have learned from my Master how to ride and shoot a bow, but alas, i do not have a steed nor bow, but this blade..."

"Steeds and bows we got", called back the Prince. "Good King, have you a saddle for one more valiant knight? He has some skill with a bow, but is apparently quite good with a broadsword."

"Fantasy Fan, come," said the Parthian King, "and I will show you a mount the likes of which will make your head swim for the height of being set upon its noble back!"

*Claps hands, and swarthy Parthian warrior approaches with fine dappled grey stallion.*

"How's this for size?" asks Parthian King.
