(Lovebugs and Video Girls)

Patrick regretfully straightened his white oxford shirt. He wished he hadn't been talked into catering for this stupid garden party. But of course, he needed the money and one of this other friends was also waitering. He took the tray offered to him and went to start clearing tables.

Evie was late, again. She'd been caught up thinking, something she couldn't exactly explain to Kendra. She tried to think of an excuse as she joined her friend. "Hey guys," she said, smiling at Kendra and the other people around her.

ic:Nate laughed. "Yes, but dont worry, unlike these streets there are directions everywhere. They get a lot of foreign students enrolling there. But if you find you're truely lost I'm sure you'll be able to find me" he replied with a friendly smile.

Jordan smiled. "Thanks," opened the door and hoped out. "And thanks for the ride, I'll have to remeber not to go so far next time."

"No problem" he replied "you do that. You're not always going to find nice strangers who will happily give you a ride home" he said smiling. "See you around Jordan". He switched the egnition back on and drove on, towards his own house.
'Nice girl' he thought as he put the radio on. He tapped his fingers on the wheel along to the tune.
 
"Mhm," Evie said, glad she hadn't asked why she was late.

Patrick approached the group, somehwat shyly. "IS there anything I can get any of you?" he asked. He hated talking to these video girls. They were so shallow.

ic: Ethan parked his car in one of the three garages and walked into their 6 bedroomed house. He always wandered why they needed that many bedrooms seeing as he only had one brother.
"Hey Jake" he said closing the door.
"Hey. Not going to join mom at the party?"
"Nope. Already been. It looked so boring, another meeting for rich people to talk about how fabulous their lives are, pointess". Nate opened the fridge door. "Antyhing good in here to eat? I'm starving. Wheres dad?"
"Working and no" Jake replied his eyes fixed on his Wii sport game.
"Figures. Lets order some pizza" he said grabbing the phone and colapsing onto the couch next to Jake.
 
Jordan got some crakers and went up to her room and started reading her books for school on Monday. She had been gien then ahead of time so she could "get up to spead". She didn't know why they assumed she wasn't as smart as the other kids just because she'd been travling for a year and had been taught by her father.
 
Evie shook her head along with all the other people. Patrick nodded and went to go see if anyone else needed anything.

Evie sighed. "I hate these stupid parties."
 
Kendra looked over to her mother chatting drunkenly with her friends. "Yeah, they really do suck." She said pursing her lips. She had had enough of her mother and father ignoring her. "Hey i'll be back in a little bit." Kendra said to Evie and David and stalked off towards her mother. "Mom we need to talk." Kendra said with a hint of annoyance in her voice. "Kendra can't it wait, i'm busy" Lillian replyed "Your always busy." Kendra pleaded Lillian sighed and followed her daughter into the house.
 
Nate had completely forgotten that he was still signed on on his IM. He checked to swee if Kylie was still on but not surprisingly she hads signed off. He looked through the list of otherr people who were on IM to see if he could chat with anyone.
