What's so bad about my post? By the way, I meant literal nuts. Like the kind you eat. In other words, I wasn't insulting my roommates.
 
Both thoughts crossed my mind. Both thoughts crossed my mind when I was posting the original question. I decided not to make a pun. I've grown adverse to puns. And I did not know how to respond to your post...

After giving reputation to someone, you have to give reputation to 20 different people before you can give it to them again. I know this because I kept a record of everyone I gave reputation to, seeing many times I had to do it before I could give one back to that original person. (Which, ironically, just happened to be you, Lossy. :p)
 
Thanks D! But 20 people?? I'm not on often enough, and I don't roam far enough to give reputations to 20 people. I mean, I only duffer, and there aren't that many active duffers! Can't they move it down to 5 or something?

I know, I'll dig up an old post and give one to bc. :D

I, too, wish that it were lower. I understand why it's necessary to spread reputation around and not just give it to one person over and over again, but it's difficult to have to wait so long before you can give reputation.

As a word of advice to whoever might be reading this, if you find a post that you really, really like but can't give it reputation yet, I'd advise you to copy the link into a Word Document or something, and come back to it later when you can give that person reputation again.

I've noticed several members using language (obscenities) that are starred. This is becoming more and more frequent, and even though it's starred, I dislike having to see it in a post on a family-friendly forum. I don't know if anything could be done, but maybe one of the moderators could post a new announcement to every sub forum, saying that it's still unacceptable? I mean, not that I want people to be banned because of using language, but if it's more than once, shouldn't something be done? Just a thought, and if anybody else is noticing this more, please say so!

EDIT: I just checked the date. The above mentioned member joined late last year... wonder why they are recently active again?
 
You create an avatar using an art program or traditional art. Once you have the avatar you want, User CP > Settings and Options > Edit Avatar, click Use Custom Avatar, then either paste the link to the art and upload it directly from your computer. Once your avatar shows up, please keep it on a leash when entering Duffer territory.
 
Often I just upload a normal photo--my current avatar is actually desktop wallpaper. But GG, D, Zella, and crew often use graphics software to make their avatars look a certain way before they upload them. If you want a more elaborate avatar, I'd suggest asking for help in the Brush of Unicorn and Hide of Bull forum. I'm sure the they'd all be glad to help.
 
Keep in mind that avvies need to be 100x100 pixels max; also I prefer to save mine in jpg format before uploading. Have fun creating yours!
