My First Fan-Fic

So the two girls got up and left the tent, being as quiet as they could. Lucy fastened her cloak about her shoulders, and Susan grabbed her horn and bow and quiver of arrows. Lucy, of course, brought her gifts along too, just in case. They followed Aslan as quietly as they could for a little while, but suddenly, the Lion turned and called to them.
"Shouldn't you both be in bed?" he asked.
Susan said, "Please, Aslan, may we come with you?"
"Yes, Aslan, may we?" Lucy asked.
"I would be glad of the company," the Lion answered. "But when I tell you to turn back, you must turn back, and do not let yourselves be seen."
So the girls placed their hands in Aslan's great mane and walked along side him for some time quietly.

The night was dark and cold, and both girls shivered as they pulled their cloaks tighter about themselves. Aslan was quiet, and he did not speak. Lucy and Susan both felt now more than ever that something horrible was about to happen. Lucy drew closer to Aslan and leaned her head against him. Susan blinked back tears of fright that had some how pushed their way to the surface. What was going to happen? What sort of thing was hanging over them? Earlier that day, everything had seemed like it would be alright. Now, only hours later, it looked as if it was over. Was it over?
Susan brushed away a couple of tears.
"Take courage, dear one," Aslan said.
Susan nearly jumped in surprise.
"This is not the end. It isn't over yet." Then the Lion breathed on the girls and said, "Here, I must go on, alone. You must go back, and make sure that you are not seen."
"But Aslan -" Lucy began, but she was silenced when the Lion turned and looked at her.
"Farewell, dearest daughters." And then he moved on, up ahead, up the hill of the Stone Table.

Lucy and Susan watched him leave, and then they looked at each other. Both were filled with confusion and were blinking back tears. Susan turned and began to steal up the hill after Aslan. She wanted to know what was about to happen. Lucy followed, although she wanted to call Susan back. The two girls hid behind a large fallen tree and from there they watched what happened. They could see the Stone Table, and around it, stood the Witch's army. The Witch herself stood on the Stone Table, waiting as Aslan walked into their midst. In her hands she held a long, cruel knife, and her face was a smirk of triumph. Aslan stood still for a moment, and He and the Witch looked at one another.
"Behold," the Witch sneered. "The great cat has come."
Her remark was followed up by sneers and jeers from her followers.
Susan and Lucy glanced at each other, their breath caught in their throats.

I don't hate it. I think it's one of the greatest parts of these stories. It represents what Jesus did for us on the cross. Aslan going to the Stone Table to die in Edmund's place, was like Jesus going to the cross and dying for us. It is sad, but also wonderful in its own way.

The Witch's creatures stood back at looked at Aslan. They knew they were supposed to bind Him and take Him to the Stone Table, but they were afraid. This Lion could destroy them with one breath, with one swipe of his paw.
"Why are you afraid?" sneered the Witch. "He is only a cat! Bind him I say!!"
Timidly at first, the monsters began to come forward, and one ventured to kick him spitefully. Aslan did nothing. He only stood quietly and did not open his mouth. Then, they became bolder, kicking him and taunting him, and a minotaur knocked him over on his side.
"Why doesn't he fight back?" Lucy asked Susan.
Susan shook her head. "I don't know," she whispered.
"Wait!" shouted the Witch. "Let him first be shaved!"
Susan and Lucy watched in horror as they shaved off Aslan's beautiful mane. Why was he doing this? He could have put a stop to it at any moment, but he didn't. Tears streamed down the two girls' faces uncontroled.
"Bring him to me!" Screamed the Witch.

Aslan was dragged up onto the Stone Table. The Witch stood over him, looking triumphant. She leant down and said, "You know, Aslan, I'm a little dissapointed in you. You are giving your life, and saving no one. You are giving me Narnia forever. I will kill the human children and all of their followers! So much for love." She paused and then shrieked, "In that knowledge, despair, and DIE!!" And she killed Aslan with the knife.
Luc and Susan were too shocked at first to do or say anything. They stared for a moment, and then, Lucy buried her head in Susan's shoulder.
"General!" the Witch said to a large Minotaur. "Prepare your troops for battle! Oh how short it may be. The great cat, is dead!!"
Just then, as small company of Black dwarves and wolves came upto the Stone Table with a prisoner.
