My First Fan-Fic

The five children hurried back into the camp and arrived by Aslan's tent just in time to see the Witch approaching with many of her followers. Edmund shuddered when he saw them, but he kept his head up and tried to look like he wasn't afraid. Emily, on the other hand, suddenly realized that this was the creature that had been holding her captive. She sensed also that the Witch still hadn't completely given up on taking her and Edmund back. Emily turned very pale and tried to keep from trembling.

Lucy and Susan looked at each other fearfully. So this was the power that they were facing. The Witch looked at the five and smirked. They all realized that they were staring straight into the face of evil itself. Peter had already guessed why the Witch had come, and he stood with his hand resting on his sword hilt; appearing to be ready for anything. Aslan was with them; and if he was with them, they could beat the Witch. Still, he was a little frightened as he watched the sheer malice in the Witch's face.
Aslan emerged from his tent and stood majestically, looking down upon the Witch.
"Aslan," the Witch said, "how good to see you." She looked as spiteful as she sounded.
The Lion looked sternly at her. "Why is it that you have come, Witch?"
"You have a traitor in your midst, Aslan," the Witch said, glancing at Edmund.
"His offence was not against you," replied Aslan.
"But have you forgoten the law, the deep magic that holds this world together, Aslan?"
"Do not cite the deep magic to me, Witch! I was there when it was written."
The Witch smirked again. "Then you will remember well that every traitor is lawfully mine. That boy belongs to me!" She pointed at Edmund, who took a few steps backwards, as if to put more distance between himself and the Witch.
Peter drew his sword and stepped forward. "Try and take him them," he growled.
"Do you think you can stop me, little King?" the Witch taunted.
"Enough!" said Aslan. "I must speak with you alone."

:( Oh no... I never liked this part, where Aslan was going to talk about his death with the witch... You're doing an awesome job incorporating (ugh i spelled that wrong) everything in the book in the story!! :D

The Witch followed Aslan back into his tent while the Narnian and the Witch's followers waited outside. Edmund looked the way Emily had often looked before: completely hopeless. He knew that he deserved to die because of what he had done. Lucy stood next to Edmund, trembling a little bit. She was afraid and angry. They had just gotten Edmund back; he couldn't be taken away from them again, could he?
Susan smoothed her skirt nervously. She whispered to Emily, "Do you think -" but she stopped.
Emily sighed. "I don't know, Susan," she said. "But, I don't think Aslan would allow it, would he?"
"Surely not," Susan answered, but she didn't sound sure of herself.
"I think she's come after me, too," Emily whispered fearfully.
"She can't take you, Emily," Peter said. "She has no claim on you."
"Aye, that she doesn't" Mr. Beaver said, appearing next to them, "but she will try."

"But why?" Lucy asked.
"Because she's evil through and through, and I suspect that seeing Emily change the way she has has reminded the Witch of the very thing that she was trying to destroy," Mr. Beaver said.
"What is it exactly?" Edmund asked, curiously.
"Well, obviously, she's trying to destroy the good in this world and the Narnian spirit," answered Mr. beaver.
"The Narnian spirit?" Susan asked.
"Yes. It's what keeps us going; the Narnian spirit. It's the joy within us, and the hope. We Narnians have always been a people that are able to flurish even in hard times because we have hope. Others don't have that. That's what she is trying to destroy."
Emily shuddered. "So that's why," she murmured.
"That's why, what?" Edmund asked.
"That's why she's after me!" Emily said. "She sees in me the exact thing that she's trying to get rid of!"
"Exactly," Mr. Beaver said.
But then they stopped taking as the Witch emerged from Aslan's tent.

The Witch looked at the five triumphantly and their hearts sank. Lucy was now clinging to Edmund with all of her might, refusing to let go, and he for once didn't mind. Emily turned paler still and stamped her feet nervously. Peter gripped his sword hilt till his knuckles turned white and waited to see what would happen. Susan moved closer to Emily and put her arm around the girl's shoulders. As the Witch rejoined her followers, Aslan emerged from the tent.
"She has renounced her claim on the Son of Adam's blood," Aslan said.
The Narnians cheered and the Witch said, "But how can I know that your promise will be kept?"
Aslan said nothing. He stood above the Witch and looked down at her before letting out a tremendous roar. At this, the Witch left, taking her band of creatures with her.
Once they were out of the camp, the Witch turned to the Wolf had become captian of the Secret Police after Magrim had been killed and said, "The boy may be out of my reach for now, but I want that girl dead, TONIGHT! Do what ever it takes, but I want her dead!"

Lucy sat down on the bank of the river where the wolf had attacked her, Susan and Emily the day before. So much had happened since then. It was beginning to get dark when she heard footsteps behind her. Lucy turned around to see Edmund coming towards her.
"Hello, Ed," Lucy said, patting the ground beside her.
Edmund smiled and sat down beside his sister. "What are you doing down here, Lucy. It's a little far from the camp, don't you think?"
"It's not that far, Edmund," Lucy said. "And it is a nice place to think."
Edmund looked around. "It sure is quiet," he said.
"That's why it's a good place to think, Ed," Lucy said, giggling a little.
"I'm sorry if I was interupting, Lu," Edmund said quickly.
"No, no, you're fine," Lucy replied.
The two were silent for a moment and then Edmund said, "Anyways, the reason I came was because Susan asked me to come get you. It's getting late, you know."
Lucy smiled and stood up. "Alright. Would she like Emily to come back, too?"
"Emily?" Edmund asked, puzzled. "We didn't know she was gone."
"Yes, Emily," Lucy said. "She's over there." Lucy pointed to the far bank where Emily was sitting in the grass with a very far away look on her face.
Edmund shrugged. "Go ahead and tell her to come back, too. It isn't quite safe to be out this far when it's getting dark."

Lucy nodded. "Okay."
Edmund walked away and Lucy stood by the bank, doing some last minute thinking. Finally, she turned away and left. She never realized until it was too late for her to do anything that she hadn't called Emily back. She walked away, leaving Emily on the far side of the bank, thinking.
