My First Fan-Fic

Very glad you think so. :D

...

Mrs. Beaver was sitting at her sewing machine humming a little tune to herself while she sewed. She had stayed behind while the others left to look for Edmund. Suddenly, the door of the dam was flung open and Mr. Beaver and the children crowded in through the doorway.
"Hurry Mother, they're after us!" Mr. Beaver said. Mrs. Beaver stood up.
"Right, then," she said. She walked over to the pantry and took out a sack and some other things as well.
"What is she doing?" Peter asked.
Mr. Beaver threw up his paws in frustration.
Susan was helping Mrs. Beaver pack. "Do you think we'll need jam?" she asked.
"Only if the Witch serves toast!" Peter answered.
The wolves howled close by.
"Hurry!" Emily said.
"Come on!" said Mr. Beaver. He led them to a small escape tunnel that was hidded by a bookcase. Peter helped Mr. Beaver push the bookcase aside and then he helped the others climb down. First went Mr. Beaver, then Lucy, Mrs. Beaver, Susan, Emily, and Peter came last, pulling the bookcase back over the entrance, and then closing the door behind them.

I like to spoil you guys! Lewis never said what kind of sewing machine it was... and I didn't feel like making something up. Besides, that's not the important part!:D

Okay.... I'm giving in...

...

It was dark in the tunnel except for the lantern that Mr. Beaver carried, and the torch that Peter had brought. They ran, stumbling over roots and tripping over their own feet. Everyone was trying to be quiet.
Just then, Lucy stumbled and fell.
"Lucy!" Susan said, pulling the little girl back to her feet.
Emily said, "Are you alright?"
Lucy nodded. "Yes, I think so."
A wolf howled, and it was very near.
"They've found the tunnel," Lucy whispered.
"Quick!" Mr. Beaver said. "This way!"
They followed the beavers through the twists and turns of the tunnel until they came out into the air again. What they saw outside made them stop and stare in shock.

I'm not going to make you wait forever, Abby. I'm not THAT evil.... Or am I? Just kidding!:D

....

All around them seemed to be the remains of a rather large group of creatures that had been on their way back to their homes. Most of them had been turned to stone. Every single detail had been etched into the stone and you could clearly make out the hopeless and terrified expressions on the creatures' faces. Several were only babies, children who had been traveling with their parents. In the middle of the clearing lay what was the most shocking thing yet. A badger, a rabbit, and a deer; who had all been talking animals and who had aided Mr. Beaver earlier that evening, lay fallen in the snow; cruelly tortured to death.
Mr. Beaver was very angry and sad. "He - was my best mate," he said of the Badger.
Mrs. Beaver hugged him and said, "I'm so sorry, Dear."
Emily bit her lip and looked around. She shuddered.
"What happened here?" Peter asked.
"This is what becomes of those who cross the Witch," said a voice.
Everyone looked around, trying to find the person to whom this voice belonged.
