Carrissa’s Catland Adventures
Book 1
CHAPTER 1
It’s all gone

There once was a girl named Carrissa and this story is about her and her amazing adventures in a land called Catland. Carrissa was only five years old when her adventures began. Now Carrissa such as it was lived on the country side and had a mother and a father who loved her very much, but they do not come into this story. She had no sisters or brothers, but she wished she did. And most important of all she had a very vivid imagination.* Now one day she was looking out of the window doors and daydreaming when suddenly there was a flash and loud noise and suddenly it all vanished. Everything. The house, the lawn, the trees were all suddenly gone, and along with them Carrissa’s childhood, easy life and home. It was all gone.

Chapter 2 A new little friend

Now Carrissa being quite young and small was very frightened. Indeed she was terrified. Even more so when she heard rustling coming from the bushes nearby. “Who is there?” she asked in a frightened voice (it may have been better to keep quiet until she knew what the creature was, but you must remember she was only 5). “Me.” Answered a meek voice “And just who are you? Or is that your name, Me?” said Carrissa feeling bewildered. “Oh well er; ah you see um…” stuttered the voice. “Well if you don’t mind my asking, er, such as it is, are you a, well er…” “Is that how they talk around here, stuttering?” Said Carrissa “Well ah my um manners are well usually a bit better but well…” “Oh say it will you?” said Carrissa now very annoyed “Fine.* Are-You-A-Wolf?” Said the voice “NO!” said Carrissa loudly “Hear this, I-Am-No-Wolf!” She was quite offended by his thinking she was a wolf when he could look and see she was not. “Okay okay quiet or some real wolves might come.” “I will not be quiet until you show yourself!” said Carrissa angrily. “Well okay I suppose” said the small voice, and out stepped the smallest cutest little kitten Carrissa had ever seen. He had grayish purple hair and blue baby eyes still, and a smile to warm your heart.* “So you’re all there is to be afraid of huh?” said Carrissa trying to sound brave “No I am not the only thing to be afraid of.” Said he, “Well at least what’s your name?” “Carrissa Kitten the mis-for-tu-nat-e kitten.” Said Carrissa Kitten (for we now must call him that). “Oh,” said Carrissa a bit faintly, “my name is Also Carrissa. Carrissa .A. that is.”

Ok if this is horrible its because I made it up when I was about 4 (and am just now writing it down).
If you like it and want me to write more I will :)

Suddenly from nearby there was a howl. "Oh no!" "I think the wolves heard you." said Carrissa Kitten "It may have saved some trouble if you had just asked your question in the first place." muttered Carrissa, "Never mind that now come on." "Where are we going?" asked Carrissa "My home." said Carrissa Kitten. "My mom told me never to talk to strangers let alone go home with them." said Carrissa defiantly "Oh fine," said Carrissa Kitten "Get eaten by wolves see if I care." said Carrissa Kitten and stalked off, Carrissa thought for a moment then ran after him calling "Wait up!" "Shhh!" "You've already caused enough raket to wake the whole Dog-land Army." "Who?" Carrissa Kitten sighed and said "Tell you later."

Really I think once it gets going you'll think it better... Also when Carrissa gets older it gets better. Theres even a little romance. I also have other stories.

Here is part of one of my other stories:

Journey To a New Land

Chapter 1
The Long Journey Begins anew.

Tigerheart stalked the mountains she had come to know, looking for prey and danger. She was alone. Even in now familiar territory the cats of the clans rarely stalked these mountains alone. Tigerheart was an exception. She was large for a two year old she-cat, almost as large as Little Ribbony, who despite his name was huge for even a clan cat. Tigerheart was now alone but not as much as she thought. For soon she heard soft little paws approaching. Then a young cat appeared. Small but brave, Flower, Tigerheart’s feisty apprentice was anything but delicate. The little cat ran over to Tigerheart with a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Tigerheart!” she mewed, “All right” growled Tigerheart playfully but strictly, “what’d you do this time?” Flower and her sister and brothers were known for getting into trouble. “Oh nothing.” Mewed Flower, “Just makin’ you the proudest mentor ever!” she squeaked. “And how is that?” demanded Tigerheart. “Follow me.” As Flower happily bounced off Tigerheart shook her head and then followed. Flower lead Tigerheart a little higher up to the top of the mountain. Soon Tigerheart heard a roaring noise, and a waterfall was suddenly in front of them. Bellow it was a small grassy clearing with rocky out crops on all sides. Then above the roaring of the waterfall, Tigerheart heard it. A blood curdling shriek, Tigerheart looked up just in time to see a huge hawk hurtling downward towards, “FLOWER!!!” Tigerheart leapt on the young cat just as three cats bounded out from behind a rock, and the hawk dove down. Two leapt up and caught the birds wings, the other grabbed Flower by the scruff and dragged her to safety behind a rock. Tigerheart looked pleased, she knew they were letting her do the honors. Tigerheart jumped and grabbed the bird’s neck and bit down until it was dead. When the huge bird, bigger than Tigerheart herself, fell dead Tigerheart was panting but she looked pleased, after all these cats were apparently skilled at catching these birds. “Well!” meowed Tigerheart, “if all the stories about the mountain cats were never believed my whole clan can call me crazy for seeing them!” And to Flower, “You could have gotten us both killed! What were you thinking?!? And at that why weren’t you at camp were you were supposed to be? Or at least with a responsible GROWN cat?!?” Flower didn’t even try to answer all these questions. Instead at each one Tigerheart asked she only mewed softly “I’m sorry I wouldn’t do it again.” “You had better be sorry you little cat you!” “I’ll of course have to report this to my mother.” “What?!?” cried Flower, “Just kill me now then will you?” “Oh she’s not that bad.” Said Tigerheart whose mother happened to be leader of the Clan.

Does anyone like this better?

Carrissa Kitten lead Carrissa A to his 'home' which just inside the woods. It could hardly be called a house for it was more like a pile of rubble. "I used to live here with my family," explained Carrissa Kitten "Until word came about that the wolves were getting more evil and not taking kindly to the woodland cats. Most moved those who stayed were forced out by wolves." "How awful!" exclaimed Carrissa, "What did your family do?" "Oh we left quick as we could. I was the youngest." "What happened to your parents and brothers and sisters." asked Carrissa, for since Carrissa Kitten said he was youngest she figured he had siblings. "My brother pushed me out of the house-van." said he, "My older brothers, and sometimes even my sisters, made fun of me and how I was youngest. They never liked me much except Jane." he said bitterly, "I wish I had had a sister." said Carrissa wistfully. "Can't imagine why." muttered Carrissa Kitten under his breath.

The Carrissa's hid in the broken down shack for a week until something worth mentioning happened.

Thats all for the moment.

Ok on this next part remember I made this story up when I was 4,5 and 6, I'm only telling how I did it then with few variations.

Carrissa K and Carrissa A (as they sometimes called each other) were walking on the edge of the woods when Carrissa Kitten heard a noise. "Get down!" he hissed, "Who's there?" Said Carrissa, "Shhh!" "It might be a wolf." said Carrissa Kitten, but Carrissa, a typical 5 year old, was eager to find what the noise was as much as she had been a week ago when she found Carrissa Kitten. So she picked up a stick and went on, until Carrissa Kitten couldn't see her anymore the undergrowth was so thick. Suddenly he jumped. Carrissa came back riding on the hood of a car with no driver in it. "Silly," he said "you nearly gave me a heart attack." "Oh sorry," said Carrissa apoligeticly, " I didn't know if you new he was around." "He?" "Oh the car." said Carrissa nonchalantly, "His name if you want to know is Herbie." "Oh crazy child of mischif," "You're going to bring home a lost dog-lander one day and then I'll draw the line," "For now, I suppose I can live with you though." said Carrissa Kitten.

And so it is how a third and vital member of their party came to be. But one more did they find before Carrissa Kitten drew the line.

Ok again I was like 4-6 when I first thought of this and I think its all well and good for a start :o. I also plan someday to make this story and others into books and welcome comments, most comments at least. :);):p

Chapter 3
The Portal and what it did

It had been almost a month after Carrissa first came to this strange world that something odd but vital for her Adventures to continue happened. The Carrissas were exploring near the edge of woods. Suddenly Carrissa heard a noise. "Whats that?" she wondered aloud. It sounded like a humming noise, Carrissa Kitten heard it too, "Mabey theres a bee-hive around." said he, "Mabey," said Carrissa "But I don't think so." "Anyway I'm going to see what it is." she said and ran off towards the noise. "Oh brother. I'd better make sure she dosen't get killed." murmered Carrissa Kitten and ran after her.
When he found her she was standing by a large circular portal with a shimmering cover. "Come on," said Carrissa eagerly "Lets see what happens when we go through. She grabbed Carrissa Kitten before he could say a word and dragged him though the portal. When they got to the other side though everything was the same. "I don't think it worked." said Carrissa disapointedly, "I wonder if we could try again?" she murmered but when she turned around the portal was gone. She gasped "Well well were did it go?" she said, "Mabey we should go. Anyway it may not have been for us." said Carrissa Kitten. "I suppose." said Carrissa.

And they did go home, but with low spirits. but little did they know somthing would happen, but they would have to wait and see.

I hope people like this for I still intend to make into a book.
:);)

Ha ha ha haaa

Wrote it when you were 4? That was quite obvious. Reminds me of barbie adventures or something lol
:D Always the encourager eh, Protagaroo?

oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!! protag, lay off. if you can't say anything Christian, get outa here. yeesh....
Oh, that was nice. I've seen ruder comments than his...

I must say, that I sort of agree with Protag...but you'll get better, don't worry. Keep writing, I promise you will improve. Belive me, if you could read some of the stuff I used to write...

So, yeah. I"m guessing you're young, so you've got PLENTY of time to improve. Although you must get used to people disliking your stuff.. Because that's just life.

yeah, but you can critisize without saying "your stuff sucks and is juvenile". I mean come one! Honestly, if someone wants to get better, that's NOT what you want to tell them! That's why there's constructive critisism. And if Protag dislikes it that much, then he shouldn't read it! simple as that!
Well, he did read it, and he's entitled to his opinion...
There doesn't seem to be much critisism here, you know? It's mostly people saying "It's awesome" without reason, which is just as bad as saying that it's good without reason....

I can write better stories that this actualy. I just decided to work from the ground up. :)

Good. I would like to see what you call "better".
Chances are what you came up with as a little kid isn't going to be very good.
