My Rant...

I say to let people have their fantasies. It's a good break from the harsh realities of the world. There's nothing wrong with fantasizing as long as you don't take it to the extreme, so why not just let the ladies of the board have their fun. I like to fantasize. Not about Will or Skandar, but of older guys like Scott Weiland or Slash of Velvet Revolver, hehe.

No offense but if you don't like to see the posts then why look at them? That's an easy solution to your problem. I'm really not trying to be rude, sorry if it came off that way.
 
I think he was saying its not so much looking at the individual posts but having to sort out the threads when there are so many of the so and so's hot ones mixed in.

It is just that these boards are to talk about the movie, the books and other things and not talk abou the looks of the actors. The actual acting ability is one thing. People slobbering over some guys is another.

How can I choose to ignore to read something? If I am in a thread and it goes off topic into talking about the actor's looks that isn't my fault is it? It isnt my fault that half of the threads are about their looks. I dont go in and read them but I am just sick of seeing them everywhere I look when I am looking for actual discussion on the book.
 
This forum is about all things pertaining to narnia, but we still manage to talk about LOTR and Harry Potter right? So why can't the ladies of this board talk about who they think is hot in the movie pertaining to Narnia? Just my opinion. I do agree though that it's kind of hard to ignore, so I apologize for my previous comment about ignoring it.

I agree with Jadis, the kids are welcome to dream. Why not? You can tell by the title of the thread if it's just a fangirl's fantasy, so you can skip over it ...
 
Iamnotjustdreaming, I am a girl and I can totally agree with you!!! Oh my gosh I dont understand my friends obesseion with guys...in fact I hate boys!! (what I mean by that is if you even think of telling me you like me as more then a friend you will regret it!!) I thought that Will was cute...but to obsess over it as my friends are?? I dont think soo!!! I honestly dont blame you, and I am so totally in complete agreement!
 
Oh let them have their fun and dream. I do the same about other actresses such as Paris Hilton and Jennifer Love Hewitt and Emma Watson. I know i have no chance with them but its fun to imagine lol.

I'd be satisfied with their stunt doubles. If I have to introduce them to my friends from the backside then so be it, that's a sacrafice I'm willing to make.
 
There should be a specific place where you can share your sentiments about the actors but not with people who would rather talk about the books and movie effects and ect. Please find a good place and post under existing threads about the cast.

As a guy I am sick of seeing everything about "how cute" or "how hot" William and Skandar are.

The world is NOT all about movie stars and hot guys.

Honestly, what chance do any of you guys have with a movie star? It isnt because you guys arent great people or arent good enough it is just that we all (movie stars included) only know a limited amount of people in their life.
In my whole life I will probably only meet about maybe 1-2 thousand people. This is out of over 6 billion people. That is meeting only 1/3,000,000 of the worlds population. This isnt even accounting for people who die and people who are born (adding to the amount of people who have lived during my lifespan).

My point is not to break hearts it is just to bring some of you guys back to reality. There are hot girls and guys everywhere in just about every school if that is what you care about. Honestly does it even matter if someone is hot or not? THere is so much more to life than hot guys or hot girls. I like girls for personality. Sure good looks are nice but they arent the most important thing.

My wish is just for people to stop obsessing about people that they more than likely will not ever meet in their life.

Note: I am 14 so I understand like thinking teenage actors are hot but seriously be realistic and look at it in a realistic point of view.

I just think that people like me who actually came to forums like this to talk about the books, movies and other relevent things shouldnt have to wade through seeing things about skandar and william in every other thread.

If you agree please post or if you just want to kill me for this...

Im 14 too..and yeah i like William not as much as i did, im still a fan of him...but ive started not liking and obsessing over him that much b/c i know that i wont meet him, i dont really even care to meet him :rolleyes:
 
I use to go to the William thread, but its way too boring you practically hear the same thing, i mean this is a narnia forum there are Wiliam and Skandar messege boards out there to post on and talk about them so...
 
Well at least they've all been shipped off to a forum of their own so they can be kept seperate from the others (sounds like a bunch of animals now!)
