Narnia Four Disc EE Discussion Thread

Hey man, I think my dad may have gotten mad at me and send the box back. When you use a person's credit card online, for the most part, you're supposed to send it to the same billing address, and I didn't want to take any chances and have them question why it's coming to my house instead. That thing should have been here by now depending on where it's coming from.

In the box are my extended edition DVD with bookends and other stuff...and now I'm gonna have to ask my dad if he refused delivery.

Uh-oh.....Need any help, LM? I'm behind you all the way!!! Of course I'm behind you by several hundred miles, but, hey, I'm still behind ya. LOL:D

Me too LM! Hope that you'll get it soon! At this rate we'll have to bring you a copy to watch...hope that you'll get yours long before that would be necessary. I'm sending hugs of sympathy. How do you stand it?

I have to say that my favorite part of the EE was the 3rd disc. I loved it sooo much! "C.S. Lewis Dreamer of Narnia" was amazing! Absolutely wonderful!

I liked some of the extra scenes in the movie, but some I would have left on the cutting floor. I wish that they would have added the dancing scene at the end in some ways.

Maybe they'll use that footage in a flashback for PC...who knows. It would be a shame to waste it...it looked like a fun scene.

I still have more to check out on the production CD, but haven't had time for it. Watch the 3rd disc though...it's awesome. Of course, I love the works of Lewis and he had quite the interesting life.

I haven't checked out all the special features yet, but I was a little disappointed with the added scenes. I didn't think the bat-like creature scene in the battle was a necessary addition -- the animation style and quality seemed like it didn't fit with everything else on screen, and it made the battle even longer.

Most of the non-battle added scenes seemed to me to be just extended walking and such - in other words, not really adding to the depth of the world of Narnia. Maybe my hopes were too high; I was hoping for more stuff like other scenes from the book that were left out (such as the dinner party with the animals and the witch and dwarf turning into the tree stump and boulder).

Also, I was hoping to see some of the shots that were on the trailers/previews that weren't in the finished film (like Peter dancing with someone in the palace and an extended introduction to Mr. Beaver)

Well, to me my favorite part of the whole movie was the battle and I enjoyed the additional scenes. Most scenes that are cut are never crucial to the film as presented in the theater, but more and more films such as Narnia, LOTR, are putting these scenes back in the film for DVDs because they aren't under any time restrictions such as they are in the theaters often.

The extended scenes to me did not necessarily ( NOR did they need to, IMHO) add 'depth' to the movie. But since the Narnia movie and storyline was so expertly done by Adamson and well-acted, I saw the extra scenes as a PLUS...as an addition to the already wonderful movie. It made an A movie into an A PLUS.

And my cats were staring at the bookends. I had to put them away back in the box because one of my cats started to hit them with his paws.

LOL! I like the bookends that came in the set even though I think Tumnus' face looks a little funny...but I like the peuter book ends my mom has better. Those ones have all 4 kids going into the wardrobe on one side and Tumnus by the lamppost on the other.

I still haven't gotten to see all the extras on disc #4. I'll get there eventually.

I got the EE edition for christmas, but unfortune\ately I haven´t got the time to watch it yet. I´m going to this weekend. But after the lenght of the movie it seems that there´s only 8 minutes extra:confused:
