Vanessa,do you have any tutorials,on how to use brushes(esp. sparkles) so they look great?I just got brushes,Finally,and am trying to learn to use them so they look good..my banner/avatar was a first try,but it looks cluttered...:rolleyes:
 
No, it doesn't look bad at all ;) I have a wonderful advice for you Snowy.
If you want to work with brushes, you better work with them on a new layer. In this case you can see your final result and you can also use the eraser tool to get rid off unwanted parts but I love your work. It is not too much and it looks great.

Why are you thinking so low about your work Snowy? I think you do it great ;) But you gave me ideas for my next tutorial. Because not many people know they can also erase or give special effects to bushes. Did you know when you add brushes on a new layer you can also add pecial effects to them?

Do you know the filter tools? You can add them on your brushes!
Suppose you have a pic like the one in your siggy. You duplicate the pic and add some colors like you did.
What you can do next is go to Layer> New layer and select the bruish and colors you want to use. Work on this new layer and your results are visible on your pic. Remove what you want and add a filter :D If you are unsatisfied, delete the new layer and open another new layer :)

Falkor is from the original Neverending Story and the ones in my siggy are from The Dark Crystal. This was made in the same periode. They were all seperate pics and I blended them all together :D
 
i recently read the book. it was pretty good. *has never ending story theme song stuck in head* it has always been a fav of mine:D
