oooh! very nice!!
Thanks! Well, this is a very nice trick to do. I'm going to teach how to make a close-up of a face with a bit of radial blur.
1. Open a pic you like (in my case I used a pic of the face of Eric Lindros )
2. Duplicate it
3. Grab the crop tool
4. Make a selection with the crop tool around the eyes part.
5. Crop it
6. Now grab your elliptical selection tool
7. Make a selection around the eyes. You can select one eye and then hold shift and make a selection around the other eye. Now both eyes are selected.
8. Go to Select > Inverse
9. Select Filter > Blur > Radial Blur
10. Choose Zoom and Good (Best is a bit too much)
11. Repeat step 10 two or three more times
12. Go to Select > Modify > Feather and choose 6 px
13. You're done!
Edit: I only used the crop tool for the eyes part. If you don't want to o this effect on the eyes you can also use the selection tool as long as you inverse after the selection!!!!
Spooky effect.
You can make a funny spooky effect when you desaturate a pic whichs makes the pic black and white but when you leave the eyes untouched. A large pic or a pic where the eyes are very clear will be perfect!
This is very easy to do.
1. Open a pic
2. Duplicate the pic (it's highly needed for the eyes)
3. Desaturate the pic (Image > Adjustments > desaturate)
4. Select your eraser tool and choose a soft brush
5. Erase the eyes so the original color of the eyes will come through
6. You're done!
You can also select the eyes before you desaturate the pic. This will make the erase part unnecessary. But when you do this you must inverse the selection before you do the desaturation!
