Her Nightmares....
She could see children, playing goofing around. Laughing as they enjoyed themselves she could see towns people, some of them familiar faces. She could see, Lucy, Susan, Edmund, Peter, Jadie, Ocean, Johnny, Eringuard, Arie, Joseph, and even some of her family from back home on Earth all around her. They were arguing, laughing and bargining over all sorts of things. From where she watched, it felt like something everday, the mundain. But suddenly it was almost like watching Sand get blown away. They all disappeared peice by peice... "No!" she cried as she tried to keep them from blowing away. Catching the pieces of dust that disappeared slowly in the wind..... "No! God No!!!! Don't take them away! Why?!" she couldn't hear herself screaming, but she knew she was. Suddenly a laugh filled the air. An evil laugh, turning Chloe saw a woman. Taller than most and pale. She was horrible. Laughing at her misery! "You!!!!" Chloe cried in anger. She knew it was Crystal even though she had never met her. "Leave them alone!" Attacking her, Chloe fell through. Almost as though she weren't even there.... Attacking again and again, until she couldn't breath. Suddenly she felt herself being dragged backwards, monsters were surrounding her from all sides. Screaming in horror at how they look, Chloe knew they were demons. "Let go of me! Let me go!!" she struggled against them but the binds that held her were strong. They mocked her. One struck her across the cheek making a gash, bloodying her nose. She could taste the blood. Terrified she cried out again twisting and turning against the bonds, rubbing her skin raw.
"Lady Chloe! Lady Chloe!!" she heard a familiar voice call out to her. The witch and the demons melted away into the firelight and Eringuards terrified face. "Milady? What plagues you?!"
Gasping she sat up kicking of the cloak that covered her. Standing, she turned around in circles looking for the demons. She could still taste the blood and the soreness of her nose and cheek. Touching her skin she felt it swelling, as blood poured down her face. "Milady! You're hurt!" Eringuard cried standing beside her. Grabbing her wrist in an attempt to pull her closer to the firelight where he could see the wound. The moment he grasped her wrist she felt the tenderness of her skin beneath her clothing. Pulling away she looked in horror at her hands. They were covered in blood. Her breathing was fast and raspy, her skin cold to the touch. "Daughter of Eve," Sheerik came beside her nuzzling her arm waking her from her half conscious state. Tears flowed down her cheek as she wrapped her arms around his neck wiping her tears on his warm fur.
It wasn't long before she had fallen asleep again. This time peacefully curled up against Sheerik's warm body. Eringuard watched over her for a time, before falling asleep as the sky began to rise.
