I went to the library this week and found some new CDs...:D
So..I finally heard Gerry and the Pacemakers.♪♫LOVE them!!!!!!:D

Does anyone else like:
The Brothers Four (Ellie Lou,Green Feilds,The Green leaves of Summer,Beautiful Brown Eyes,ect..)

Gordon Lightfoot (If You Could read My Mind,Bitter Green,Candian Railroad Trilogy,Pussywillows-Cattails,The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, ect.)
:D:D

Mark Dinning - Teenangel (Teenangel, can you hear me? teenangel, can you see me? Are you somewhere up above and am I still your own true love?) A sad song but beautiful. Btw...have you heard the Bobby Goldsboro song Honey?
Chubby Checker is highly adviced. Love his songs. And what about Moody Blues?
Have you heard them yet? They are sooo great! The first original singer left the band to play for Wings (the band of Paul and Linda mcCartny)
Mull of Kintyre by Wings is also a cool one.

I love "Teen Angel".He had a beautiful voice.Perfect for the song.

Chubby Checker was funny...I can dance a little of The Twist.:pI saw both him and Mark Dinning on an old American Bandstand re-run.

I just heard Honey the other day.Very pretty. And sad....

My CD of The Moody Blues hasn't come into the library yet(must be a poular group *grin*),but my Grandfather played "The Voice" for me on his Ipod on Saturday when he visited(He likes their music, and I told him I'd never heard them).:pI loved it!I have a feeling I'm really going to like their other music.

I've never heard of Wings,but I'll look them up.:D

Like Simon and Garfunkle?I have a CD of them this week, and I'm loving it..."Scarborough Fair/Canticle","Sound of Silence","Star Carol","Bridge Over Troubled Water",and "Flowers Never Bend" are my favorites so far.

I also love Simon and Garfunkel. Mrs Robinson, The boxer, Sound of silence etc. I used to love El condor pasa the most because of the panpipes involved.
Owww yeah! Moody Blues are great!!!! Ride my see saw, The Voice, I'm just a singer in a rock n' roll band, Nights in white Satin, Boulevard de la Madeleine, Questions etc. It's worth the waiting.

I found a really cute song yesterday on a 60s CD.
"Sugar and Spice" by agroup called The Cryan Shame.Never heard of it or the group before, but it was a sweet song.:D

I have a lot of "one hit wonders".I have no idea why some of these people never got another hit. They were so good.

Like The Turtles?I love "Happy Together".♪♫It gets stuck in my head. The seniors at my church went on a trip to see them.If I passed for 60s and 70s,I would have gone too.;):p

Sugar and Spice? Originally from the Searchers :D They are british too and they sang Sugar and Spice, Needles and pins. I think they are pretty cool!
The Turtles are famous with that song Snowy ;) Other one hit wonders:
Raymond Frogat - Callow la vita
Alessi brothers - Oh Lori
I have a cd One hit wonders so I will take a look on it to see what else might be great for you to hear.

You will love the searchers!!! They sound great together. I love their Sugar and Spice the most.
Another high recommendation I have for you is Smokie. This was a very populair band during the 70's and their greatest hit is possibly Living next door to Alice. I used to love them when they became famous. They also sang Needles and Pins and I love it!! Carol and Wild angels, Lay back in the arms of someone, Don't play your rock n' roll to me, If you think you know how to love me etc. They have a great middle of the road sound of music.
Try Slade: My oh my, We all join hands, Do you believe in miracles, Run runaway, My friend Stan, Cause I luv you, Look wot you've dun (they actually wrote some songs like this)
Gene Pitney!!! I love him! It hurts to be in love, If I didn't have a dime, Only love can break your heart, Mekka, Something 's gotta hold of my heart. Awwww memories, memories!

:D

He's actually my dad's favorite musician. Or more like his idol. He just got glasses and he got Buddy Holly frames

My dad loves 50s/60s music so I've been exposed to alot of it :D

LOL!:p
Hes my grandfather's favorite singer(Mine is Elvis)..He was a little bit suprised to see what he looked like, though. :p

I grew up with 40s-60s music because my grandparents and mom saved all their old records, and played them all the time...
I just discovered 1970s music last year (thanks to the old Hardy Boys TV show..the main actor was a popular singer back then) and discovered I liked it too.:D

Haven't heard any of those except the Doors..:oThey were good though...
I like the BeeGees,The Bay City Rollers,Shaun Cassidy(hes the Hardy Boys actor I mentioned.:p),Bobby Goldsboro,Harry Chapin,The Villiage People,Three Dog Night,America, and a handful of others...I'm still finding new groups through the library....

Like old novelty songs? I think they're really funny...like "Cahntilly Lace" by The Big Bopper (he died in the plane crash that killed Ricthie Valens and Buddy Holly.:()..and "Purple People Eater"(I know..its goofy..but really funny...)The singer who did that-Sheb Wooley-plays one of my favorite characters on the old western Rawhide.:-D

Yeah, actually I'm a big fan of Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper as well as Buddy Holly :D Have you seen "The Buddy Holly Story"? Gary Busey plays Buddy Holly. Its awesome (well I like it :D)

I love "Purple People Eater!" How can you not love that song?! LOL!

Yay!!Most people I say The Big Bopper or Ritchie Valens and they say "Who???"

No,haven't seen it..I'd like to though...:D
Does it have any language,do you remember?

*high Five*:DI like him as an actor too..:D
