Part *Four* of "Homeschoolers in Highschool"

Alipang caught the eye of his pal Brendan and nodded his way. Then he noticed that Kim was indeed there watching....with another boy, who was mainly watching Kim. Well, I never thought I _owned_ her; but she did _say_ she was without a boyfriend... More disturbing to Alipang was the fact that Chilena was near Kim, and the two girls were looking at each other strangely. Had Chilena expressed annoyance at Kim's indifference to her injury at the time it happened?

But Alipang had to continue:

"Master Pitik began today with the stick fighting, since that is what we are most noticed for. Stick fighting is what the great Escrimador and movie actor Dan Inosanto taught to Bruce Lee in return for Master Lee teaching him kung-fu. But we also have unarmed fighting techniques. With us, there isn't so much of kicking and leaping; for in a country full of jungles, you can't count on having perfectly smooth footing for that. When we kick, we normally kick low--at the kneecap, for instance. In what follows, you will first see unarmed fighting, then unarmed defense against weapons, and then a return to weapon techniques. Enjoy the demonstration;" and Alipang bowed to the audience, then went apprehensively to join his sister, Kim and the unknown boy.

He was glad that the exhibition was full of eye-catching action from this point on; he didn't want to have to say a word to his sister OR Kim until he had silently prayed for _whatever_ situation was going on here.

She pulled her to the side with her good arm so her brother won't hear " Because he likes you all he talks about seeing you," she told her, with a sigh " I don't know why I'm telling you this," she told her.

OOC: I really think that Alipang missed out on this exchange--some of which was indeed posted while I was still writing his Escrima narrative. Can we please agree that Alipang ONLY NOW comes near the girls? Also, Kim has only known Alipang for EIGHT DAYS, the more reason why she should be startled by Chilena's BI-IG mouth.

" Yeah, he does I don't know I'm his sister and I need to look out for him like he does with me look please don't tell him I told you this or he be so mad at me," she told her, with a sigh.

" What?," she asked, with a confuse look on her face " I'm just saying he likes you and that's all if you don't like him ..," she told him, shaking her head.

OOC: Driad's post logically happens a little earlier. Now I ask all to accept that Alipang comes in hearing of the girls just in time to hear the last several sentences.

Alipang's eyes and mouth competed for which could open wider in stunned horror. "Sister!" he squawked in Tagalog. "How could you DO this to me?--TELLING HER--!" He reverted to English: "My God, NOW what--? No, Chilena, DON'T you run off, we have to talk..." Turning to Kim: "Yes, Kim, I do feel that way about you; your Mom already knows it; but I didn't expect you to--I'm sorry, Kim, I didn't....on the other hand, you could have shown some concern when she got hurt...This is too much! Kim, you can pretend none of this was ever said. I have to go chew out my BIG-MOUTHED sister and then forgive her!"

Hauling Chilena by the unhurt arm, Alipang strode away.

" What?," she asked, with a confuse look on her face " I'm just saying he likes you and that's all if you don't like him ..," she told him, shaking her head.

"I barely know him, so no I cant say that I do. But for you to tell me he does, puts me in a bad position. So Im just asking why if you cared for Al, why'd you'd put me in an awkward position, not knowing him enough to like him that or not, which would now make me look at him differently. I understand you're looking out for him, and I dont mean to be rude, but you shouldn't have jumped to conclusions that I'd hurt him, when I didn't even know he'd liked me. Now I feel bad because I dont know him enough to have those sorts of feelings for him."

(ooc this was B4 CF's post)

"...ummm...ok," Kim said a little embarresed and confused.

She rolled her eyes' I'm sorry but I'm just I don't you haven't heard him talking about you all the time like I'm not there or something OK," she told her, walking away then Al grabbed her by the arm " I'm I sorry Al I'm sorry I hope you happy!," she told him, with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Alipang was paradoxically GLAD that Kim had another boy with her now; that would prevent her from following as he dragged Chilena off to a more private location. He wasn't needed for any more of the demo, and he SURE didn't want to be near Kim right now. At the same time, he couldn't be too hard on Chilena, when she had tried to help him, and when it was true that Kim HADN'T shown any sign of caring that Chilena was hurt.

At the secluded bench where they had sat together hours before, he made his sister sit on his lap again, wrapped his arms firmly around her, and said, "Let me get straight to the part where I forgive you. I might as well do that, and keep things good with YOU, since anything I could have had with KIM is down the toilet."

After the exhibition, Brendan maneuvered through the crowd to find Alipang, and congratulate him on a hob well done. What he DID find was a very upset Chilena, and a bewildered Alipang. He rushed up, "Is everything okay?"

That post by Driad has to be before my last. So here, Alipang says to Brendan, "Sorry, no it isn't; it's never been WORSE! Please excuse us!"--then my previous post happens. Driad, you could notice Kim looking after the departing siblings and wonder if she knows anything.

ooc: duly noted.

Brendan nodded at Alipang, as he led Chilena off. He turned around and saw Kim scowling. He figured he'd head over that way. He was going to find out what was bothering his pal. He reached Kim, and tapped her shoulder. "Kim, what just happened with Alipang?"

Despite Chilena looking away, Alipang kissed her nearest cheek several times, while saying, "I know? What do I know? That I'm less than doggy-doo to Kim? I was already going on that as my working theory; but WHAT did you think you could accomplish by--never mind, I guess I can't lose what I never had. So I don't want to lose what WE DO have. Please look at me, sweets; it's bad manners not to look at someone who's being noble and forgiving you."
