"The obvious answer is (3) dragon. Aslan transformed the other 3 into something else (although flying horse did stay a horse). Eustace turned into a Dragon because of his greed."

You are right, BK.

By the way, BK, I was referring to the England years between TSC and TLB, not Narnian years.
Good. I got it right.

England years, got it.

6A
Jill in the following places:
1. Cair Paravel
2. The tower with the owls
3. Puddleglum's shack
4. Harfang
I'll try this one. Is it (1) Cair Paravel? This is the only place where Jill did not fall asleep in or did not spend the night.

Hmmm
So are you referring to the fact that the commonality is late night adventures, with Lucy at the Dancing Lawn, Susan and Lucy hiding in the bushes of the Stone Table, Tirian/Jill/Eustace disguised as Calormenes freeing Puzzle from the Stable, and Arsheesh discovering Shasta in the boat? So in that case the odd one out might be Susan and Lucy since they were primarily observers of the terrible sacrifice of Aslan and guardians of his body rather than active participants in the night adventure as the others were.
You have the right occasions (although I don't think Lucy was at the Dancing Lawn, but it is in PC). Now think about how those events got started.

Oh so the Garden, the Stone Table and the Stable were all on hills, whereas the White Witch's castle was located in between two hills?
Correct!

5A
1. Frank's children
2. Ramadu's Daughter
3. Miraz's son
4. Caspian X's son
(3) - All became kings or queens, except for Miraz's son, whom Miraz wanted to be king.

6A
Jill in the following places:
1. Cair Paravel
2. The tower with the owls
3. Puddleglum's shack
4. Harfang
I agree with BK's suggestion.

7A
1. Beauty
2. Rerfreshment
3. Spying
4. Visiblity
(1) - They are all spells in the Magician's Book, but Lucy didn't say this spell although she wanted to; the others she did say.

"I'll try this one. Is it (1) Cair Paravel? This is the only place where Jill did not fall asleep in or did not spend the night. "

BK, you got my 6A correct. She fell asleep everywhere but the Cair.

"(3) - All became kings or queens, except for Miraz's son, whom Miraz wanted to be king."

Regarding 5A Peep, you are wrong., though I like that way of thinking. Again, go to the PC discussion board to get a hint to teh answer.

"(3) - All became kings or queens, except for Miraz's son, whom Miraz wanted to be king."

Of course, Peep. That is correct.

Duh, silly me. None of them are named except Caspian X's son, Rilian, so (4) is the odd one out.

Peeps

Well, all of these people had night time adventures, but the moon or moonlight is mentioned prominently in Susan/Lucy at the Stone Table, Arsheesh finding Shasta in a boat, and Lucy when Aslan woke the Trees. Tirian/Jill/Eustace's attempt to rescue Jewel and discovery of Puzzle was done by starlight.

(By the way, by Dancing Lawn, I meant the trees dancing with Lucy when Aslan was waking them, not the time Prince Caspian made early contacts with Old Narnia)

wooo! I got another one. And Benisse, I can't think of that one either. Peeps said to think about how the events got started. Dreams? Prophecy? Alslan? I can't think about it right now.

"None of them are named except Caspian X's son, Rilian, so (4) is the odd one out."

Congrats Peep. Another one correct.

Now go to 3A (message 153) and you may find a similar answer.

That is a beautiful answer if it's true. I almost wish it had been the answer I had in mind, but the actual answer is a bit more prosaic. Besides, moonlight is mentioned on a number of other occasions. The only other person I can think of that I could arguably add to this list would be Eustace.

I don't have my books on me (this thread has been very difficult because of that), but Lucy and Susan in LWW couldn't sleep; Arsheesh couldn't sleep in HHB; Eustace when he wandered off to be undragoned (I think)--they weren't planning their journeys. So I would think the odd one out is whoever else couldn't sleep, not someone who was up already.

Okay... maybe it is that Aslan woke Lucy up in Prince Caspian, whereas the others could not sleep?

(a) Susan and Lucy
(b) Arsheesh
(c) Lucy
(d) Tirian, Eustace and Jill

You know, Animus, you might be right. Susan and Lucy couldn't sleep when they followed Aslan. Arsheesh couldn't sleep when he found Shasta, Lucy woke up when Aslan called her in PC, but Tirian, Eustace, and Jill went to sleep in the afternoon to perform their mission at night, and thus intentionally were awake.

MrBob

Between you, I think you have hit on essentially the correct answer.

Susan and Lucy followed Aslan because they couldn't sleep.
Arsheesh was 'deprived of his sleep by the gods' when he wandered down to the shore and found Shasta.
Lucy couldn't sleep in PC when she got up and saw the trees almost wake (the night before she woke when Aslan called her).
Tirian, Eustace and Jill deliberately woke up to go on their journey.

(And the Eustace example I had in mind was when he woke up in the night and went to get a drink on the Dawn Treader.)

I'll credit that one jointly to Animus and Mr Bob.

Peeps

All of mine are now solved. I think these two of Mr Bob's remain unsolved, though.

Peeps
Two new ones:

3A
1. Helen
2. Lucy
3. Susan
4. Aravis

Note: age, country, and origin are not the right answers. Something more personal to them.

4A
1. Lucy
2. Edmund
3. Eustace
4. Shasta

Note: The first three from VotDt only.

MrBob

Ok. I'll take a shot at this one:

3A
1. Helen
2. Lucy
3. Susan
4. Aravis
Note: age, country, and origin are not the right answers. Something more personal to them.

Did someone mention that Aravis is the only queen who actually had a noble birth?

Lucy, Susan, and Aravis entered Narnia during a time of war (against the White Witch for the Pevensie girls, and when Narnia fought with Archenland against Rabadash for Aravis). Helen entered at a time of peace.

Also, Helen was the only one who came as a personal favor to a king, and the only one who literally answered a call to Aslan.

I like the thinking animus. But I have the feeling it's going to be something pretty obvious once we know the answer.

3A is obvious, expecially when I have already given you the clue to look at the answer to 5A.

Animus, I don't think Aravis ever entered into Narnia. After escaping from Calormen, I don't think she went into Narnia like Shasta did.
