Pirates II -- Come on, Be A Pirate (Please do not delete)

"Don't need to tell me twice," IOWW replied, " Might cost yeh a limb if you make Twilight repeat herself, eh?" ;) IOWW laughed as she ran off to help with the cannons.

Another shot was fired from a nearby ship and the cannon ball ripped through the main sail, as Machia raced across the deck heading towards the galley door...

"ARRRR!! Norrington!" The First Mate roared as he passed by the helm where the former British officer was working, "Gar, get this useless piece o' wood turned away from the ships!! The starboard side is weak! The wood's on that side's startin' to rot, an' ye've got it completely exposed to the cannon fire!! Move her so that side's not exposed now, ye lazy worthless sea scum!!"

At that moment cannon fire from two of the nearest ships came raining down onto the right side of the ship... There was a sickening "crunch" as the side of the ship was blasted through by cannonballs... And near the middle, the wall had started to cave in... "Ah, no..." Machia muttered as he flung himself down the door leading to the galley... The first thing he heard was what sounded like rushing water coming from the below deck areas to his left... "Arrrrr... Sounds like we're sailin' on another leaky ship..." Machia's path leading to the rest of the ship was blocked by overturned barrels and crates... Growling under his breath he started to quickly clear away some of the debris... "Arrrr, The Cap'n and Twilight got the crew on deck under control... Gar, but if Fish is down there with the crew Saruman that left us, what don't even know enough to patch a leaky life boat, she'll need all the help she can get...." He muttered under his breath, as he kicked aside a crate full of rum....

But just as he hauled a half full barrel of apples back into an upright position, a cannon blast sounded and also came a rushing sound which got louder and louder, until with an earsplitting crash and explosive force, a chain shot (ooc:Two cannon balls connected by a chain) came spinning through the starboard galley wall... It smashed through everything in it's path and came flying towards the First Mate... Machia had less then a second to move out of it's way, but one of the cannon balls caught the table in the middle of the galley and send it flying at Machia as well... The chain shot went through the opposite wall, just as the heavy wooden table hit the First Mate squarely in the chest... He let out a gasp of pain before being hurled out the broken ship wall...

Fish was still attending to the gaping hole in the starboard side wall of the ship when she saw a chain shot rip through the wall on the level above her. "Great", she muttered to herself, "now I be having two huge holes to patch..." But her grumbling was cut short when she heard a loud gasp coming from above her. She looked out of the hole just in time to see Machia and a table fall into the ocean. The table quickly disappeared, as Machia was making no movement as to stay afloat, he began to follow. "Machia!!!" Fish cried out. Kicking off her boots and removing the heavy tool belt from her waist, she quicky dove in after him.

The water was choppy, and by the time Fish reached Machia, she had to swim down about 5 feet before she was able to grab ahold of him.
"Machia! Mate, talk to me! Can ye hear me? Come on now, swim!" Fish panted as she tried to keep both herself and Machia afloat... "Cap'n, anybody, Machia 'n me be overboard on the starboard side. He ain't looking to good, Cap'n... Git a rope to us fast!" she DVed.

"Come on, Machia... Swim... Come on... at least say something..." Fish kept talking as she struggled to swim them closer to the ship...

Azgar, who had been watching the action from the crow's nest, decided that it was time to help. In a single long leap, he jumped - or rather, flew - from the crow's nest to the nearest British Navy ship. Alighting on the deck, he drew his crystal sword and ran at the main mast. He lifted his sword, and a single, pure note seemed to reverberate from the crystal. Then he swung it downward. With a dazzling flash the mast was sheared in two.

The Pirate's ship lurched horribly to the port side, and when it straightened up, it sent a large wave towards Machia and Fish, who were then pushed a good distance away.

"Oy, pirates off the port side!" Fish heard a voice shout as blinked salt water out of her eyes. For a second she was relieved; she thought the pirates had finally realized that she and Machia were out there. But after she had regained her bearings she realized that it was a soldier on a nearby British ship who had shouted.

Fish's insides turned cold. There was nowhere to hide, and she didn't want to take an unconcious Machia underwater. One by one, more soldiers turned to stare at the two pirates in the water. Finally, one shouted, "Well, what are you all waiting for? Get them up here!"

A weighted net was thrown from the ship, and its aim was true. It landed directly on the two and the sinkers on the sides caused Fish to get tangled. Unable to tread water, she felt herself and Machia start to sink as the net containing them was pulled in towards the ship. Trapped underwater, Fish felt herself running out of breath... She was getting dizzy and her head was pounding as the net was slowly drawn in. Finally, just before she felt like she was going to faint, they were lifted out of the water.

"Cap'n," Fish quietly DV'd, "we be on the British ship nearest off the starboard side. Don't be DVing me back. I'll contact ye as soon as no one be near..."

With that, Fish and Machia were dumped on deck. Though she knew it wouldn't work, Fish grabbed the pistol from Machia's side and defiantly pointed at the nearest soldier.

As soon as they hit the deck, Machia's eyes opened half-way and he began to move open and close his mouth, trying to say something, but nothing came out... Finally, he rolled over onto his side and began to cough up water all over the deck... "F-Fi..." he sputtered through the water, "F.. fi-f-f-" He coughed up some more water and finally got the word out... "Fish..." "Aye, I'm here matey..." She replied keeping the pistol pointed at the soldier... "Nay, Fish!" Machia replied through his coughing as he tried to sit up, "Fish! Fish!" Fish shot the First Mate a confused, slightly alarmed look... "What're ye talking about? I'm right here.."

"ARRR... Nay, Fish, I mean fish!" Machia answered, as he tried to pull himself into a sitting position but failed and fell back onto the deck, "Arrr... There be a cold wet slimy fish in me jacket..." The First Mate put his left hand into the inside of his jacket and pulled out a large fish, which flopped around on deck... "Arrrr... Well, I don't need to be worryin' 'bout Pierre's dinner now..." At that moment another soldier appeared, standing over Machia with a musket pointed at his face...

"Arrr...Ah..." Machia said when he saw the soldier "'twould appear we're not on the Dauntless after all..." He glanced over at Fish, "Tell me this 'tisn't my fault again..." Just then the soldier standing over Machia grabbed him by the shirt collar and hauled him violently to his feet...

"Put him down!" Fish sharply commaned, turning the pistol on the soldier who had picked Machia up.
"And just what are you going to do about it, pirate?" He sneered at Fish.
"Yer askin' to be shot." She spat back.
"Yeah right, girly. I get the feeling you've never even held a gun, let alone shot one. Now why don't you run home, like a good little daddy's girl?"
With that, Fish shot him in the foot. "Oops." she said in as fake an innocent voice as she could muster. "Silly me, I was aiming for the...what do you soldiers call it...deck?"
The soldier cursed and let go of Machia, who fell back to the ground. "Take them to the brig," the soldier spat. "And don't give them anything to eat or drink. I want to hear them beg for so much as a piece of moldy, infested bread."

A young girl came out of her room, she had just woken up. She was an only child in a wealthy family. She felt much emotional pain for her father greatly wished she had turned out a boy to carry on the family name and mistreated her for it. Regardless, she still loved him, and he loved her.
As she was walking across the Great Room, she heard her father playing piano. He had always been excellent, and the wonderful music made her feel like everything was OK. She noticed he was wearing a long black coat.
"Father, why the coat?" She quietly asked, there was no reply. It was early in the morning and she didn't want to bother with it.
She opened the door to the kitchen, the servants were usually working on breakfast at this time, but no one was there. This puzzled her, but she brushed it off and went to the front door of the grand house.
The floor creaked under her feet as she walked barefoot in her silky night dress. She saw there was a letter in front of the door. It was not sealed, she picked it up and read it. The handwriting was her mother's, but it seemed rushed.

"Your father and I went to town this morning.

Love you - John and Prudence
"

The girl froze, not being able to turn around.

Azgar jumped to another ship and drove the point of his sword downwards into the deck. With a shattering crash, the ship split in half. The wizard smiled grimly as he watched it sink.

"Gar, don't worry 'bout that..." The First Mate said as he grabbed onto the ship's railing and slowly got to his feet... He winced as a sharp pain shot across his chest... "Gar, Who in their right mind would beg fer a piece o' moldy bread..." Machia muttered, "Aye, that's jus' what I always wanted..." He added sarcastically... "Oh, but I forgot, that's all the Navy has ter offer... I got plenty o' that when I was Cap'n on one of yer ships..." He snorted, "Ye call yerself the world's finest navy... Gar, I've scraped better sea scum then what you keep on this ship, off the bottom of me ship... Ha! Finest Navy, indeed... The Idiot's Navy, be more like it..." The Soldier backhanded Machia across the face and he grabbed Fish's shoulder to regain his balance....

"Arrr, aye, aye... Me an' me big mouth be gettin' us inter trouble again..." He muttered, then turned back to the soldier, "Well, lead us ter the brig then, ugly.." The First Mate said to him, "And don't worry 'bout me askin' fer any thing ter drink... I've just had enough water ter last me fer a long time..."

Back on the ship, Norrington was suddenly blasted from where he stood by the helm as a cannon ball smashed into the railing near it... He hit the deck hard, fell down the short flight of steps and landed on his back with a groan... It felt like he'd broken all of his ribs. (But in reality he had nothing more then one very slight bruise) This isn't what he'd bargained for when he decided to help the Pirates. True, he also hadn't expected the smell of unwashed Pirates which now filled his beautiful ship... But that he could live with. The trouble was, danger seemed to follow these strange corsairs everywhere they went. He hadn't counted on being thrown into danger after danger. He now wanted nothing more then to be back in England with a nice cup of tea. Not here, in all likelihood about to die aboard a sinking pirate ship.

Norrington rolled back onto his stomach and shut his eyes; hoping that maybe this was all a bad dream he'd wake up from soon. But when he opened his eyes again, he found that the only thing that had changed was that he was now staring down into the bottom decks... Which were steadily filling with water. All of the sudden Norrington jumped to his feet. He had no idea why he was doing it, maybe he decided that he wouldn't go without a fight. But in anycase, he started to run towards the door leading to the lower decks, with nothing on his mind except for the thought that he had to stop that leak in the ship. He reached the galley and saw a toolbelt lying on the floor. In a second it was around his waist and he saw Kris run by the galley door.

"Excuse me.. I say, you! Pirate! Come help me repair a leak down below!" He motioned for Kris to follow him and plunged into the steadily rising water below...

ooc: Olorin, if you'd kindly confine your completely destroying of ships to only one more please, that'd probably be best... We need to keep this RPG as believable as possible, and it'd be a tad much if one person (Even a wizard) took down more then three ships... Oh, and please leave the ship Machia and Fish are on alone... But your welcome to destroy as many soldiers on other ships as you'd like.... Thankee! :D

ooc: Just spoil a guy's fun, whydoncha? :p (J/K)

Spotting another ship that was ready to let loose another salvo at the Dauntless, Azgar pointed his sword at it and shouted a single word. An immense whirlpool appeared in the ocean beneath the ship, sucking it down with all its crew.
Azgar leaped for another ship, but it was too late. A shimmering haze seemed to fill the air for a moment, and instead of landing on the ship's deck, Azgar rebouned off thin air instead, to fall into the sea. "Saruman," he growled to himself.

Fish had taken opportunity of Machia grabbing her for support. Swiftly and subtly she reached into his pistol holster and grabbed a few bullets. Before a soldier could stop her, she shot the soldier who had hit Machia in the knee, and he fell to the ground in pain. She loaded another bullet, but not before nearly every soldier had a musket pointed at her. "Arrr...fine, ye win," she grinned as she tossed her loaded pistol on the ground. Every soldier jumped in unison, and Fish chuckled to herself again. "Now, the brig?" she asked cheerfully.

Fish and Machia were led down several hallways and ladders before they reached the brig. A surly soldier roughly shoved them into a small cell and slammed the door. "Don't even bother trying to escape." He sneered, "The only way out is through the quarters of every officer on board. And they shoot first and ask questions later." He climbed up the ladder and shut the trapdoor exit.

A few dim lanterns served as the only light source, and it was several minutes before Fish's eyes adjusted from the bright sunlight. Fish sighed and slumped down in a corner. "Well mate, not that there's much we can do about it, but I can't imagine yer feelin' to well right now. So what's broken? Well, to start with, ye have a lovely gash on the back of yer head. Did ye hit it on the wall when ye fell out?"

Emmy loaded a cannon and fired on command. She loved the excitment of being on the ship again. Battleing the British was only a plus. Since they had ruined her sister Elizabeth's wedding she had a grudge aginst them. It was pay back time, and this time it was personal!! The cannon hit the enemy ship and she let out a whoop of joy. Then something hit her like a cannon.

On the enemy ship she saw her half brother Christaphor, he smiled slowly. She swallowed hard, and went pale.
