Playing in the Queen of Hearts' Castle

Alice ran off in tears, hoping that no one would follow her. She had hoped that the problems were over, but her mind was in turmoil. She wished with all of her heart that the confusion would just go away and things would go back to the way they had, they should be. Sudden change can often make one wish that.

OOC: Are you saying that Alice, the character, doesn't want to be Queen after all? When I first asked you about this in a message, you-the-real-person said you liked the idea.

Toj looked at Caspian and PEter

Toj: i don't think youshould have kissed her,
she's still a little girl
in a way.

Peter: I know...*walks away*

Caspian: Well...that's a bummer

The White Chess Bishop goes after Alice, calling out, "Your Majesty!--for I gather that you are about to receive that title...If you are going to rule even a small kingdom, you will need to learn to rule yourself. Was it not the complaint of many that the former Queen of Hearts DID NOT restrain her emotions? The people here, I expect, are looking for better things from you; and if you are going to wear a crown and hold authority, you owe them better things than they got from the spoiled brats who reigned here until recently." At that moment he paused and glanced around. "Um, please don't tell MY Queen that I said that; she might ask me what I think of HER."

Alice sat down the grass and drew her knees up to her chest. She needed to think. Someone sat down beside her.
"Alice?"
"Susan."
"Are you alright?"
"I don't know."

"I'm sure your friend will agree," said the Chess Bishop, catching Susan's eye, "that as a Queen you will have access to numerous givers of advice, and the power to tell them to speak or tell them to be still. But while you seek wisdom, you must _practice_ the wisdom to think of more than your emotions of the moment. You have allowed the Hearts people to expect that you will give them good government; how does a crying fit help to boost their confidence in you? I will not speak ill of you to your people or my own; but you need to start learning the self-discipline whose absence caused your predecessors to be overthrown."

With that, he left Susan to take over, and went back to rejoin the White Knight and the other White Chessmen.

"That," said Susan, "Was very good advise, Alice. I know that you're upset and confused, but you need to get a grip. It'll be alright, Alice, you'll see."
Alice looked up at her friend. "I suppose you're right, Susan." She paused and said, "If I let my feelings take over, my life will be a mess, and so will wonderland, and we can't let that happen, can we?"
Susan smiled. "No we can't."

Pippin and Merry run as fast as they could but stop when they hear nothing. Eric and Nessa are still playing in the snow throwing snowballs. Eric runs up to Nessa and tickles her. Nessa splats some snow in Eric's face. Eric laughs. Then he grabs Nessa and take her in his arms and kisses her.

Merry: Look Pip! Maybe another wedding is coming up!
Pip: Yeah! This means three times a large party
Merry: And if Alice is going to marry Peter it will be four

Merry and Pippin giggle.

Merry: Wait....maybe they are going to plan one large wedding
Pippin: Then we will still have some pie

Eric *whispers*: When this is all over I'm going to take you to the Castle and make you mine
Me *whisper*: Are you proposing to me Eric?
Eric *whispers*: You got this right love
Me *whisper*: Eric, you are so sweet

Another kiss when suddenly a snowball is thrown at Nessa and Eric.

Me *scream*: Who did this?!
Merry *grins*: Are you two lovebirds ready?
Eric *whispers*: Don't tell them anything yet. They are waiting for me to propose to you
Merry: Hey! The two of you aren't taped wirth duct tape to each other, aren't you?
Me *laugh*: Merry..........if you continue this then I............
Merry: What are you going to do?
Eric: Hobbits.....
Pippin: Someone is coming! Merry...run!

An angry card male is coming. He looks for the guilty one who threw the snowball through his window. Eric grabs Nessa's hand and quickly run away.
They are soon joining Edmund, Peter, ToJ and the others

* Hannah look at Nassa*

me: Me what's going on are you all right?

Nassa: Yeah, but there was a card and he threw a snow ball at us and I think he mad.

Me: Why?

Meanwhile, the White Knight asks the Walrus to explain more about what happened to change regimes in the Hearts Kingdom so abruptly. When he has enough of the story, the knight tells the Bishop:

"I think we need to STAY around here for a few days; call it fact-finding. Alice deserves a chance to get settled in and form some kind of administration, before she has to cope with the way OUR Queen might react to hearing of her croquet partner's downfall."

Me: Pippin threw a snowball at Merry but instead of Merry he hit a window ....
Pippin: It's not my fault! Merry shouldn't have dived
Merry: Now it's my fault!
Me: Stop!! It's the fault of the Snow Queen. She brought us all this snow over here
Pip: That's true!
Merry: Case closed!
Me: You two are insane
Eric: I thought you had known this sooner love
Me: I did but don't tell them
Eric: Ok...I won't

OOC: Was NO ONE paying any attention when it was clearly stated that Sapphira melted away ALL the snow anywhere near the castle?

ooc: I was Papa Joe.

Susan and Alice sat in the grass talking for a while after that. Alice, who liked to do something while she was talking or listening, had begun to make a chain of flowers with the little blue flowers that were growing all around them.

The next person to come up and offer Alice advice was the White Knight.

"Alice, I know I have seemed like a pompous windbag to you at our past meetings; but I like to think that my heart's in the right place. I'm postponing reporting anything back to MY Queen for as long as I can. She may not take kindly to your predecessor's overthrow. You need to be strengthening your position; and if you can produce any proof that the former Queen of Hearts intended eventually to attack the Chess Kingdoms also--as the Walrus tells me she did--it will help you a LOT in gaining acceptance with other monarchs."

Alice nodded. "Well, we know for sure that they already attacked the card kingdoms, but the chess kingdoms? I had no idea. I suppose I'll go and talk to the Walrus. Thank you very much, Sir."
