Prince Caspian: Ben Barnes & why is he so old?

Bringing this slightly back on topic....there's been a report on NarniaWeb today in the "Word on the Street" section saying that Caspian hasn't been cast yet, but that Andrew doesn't want to see anyone already seen. That he's wanting a teen of Spanish decent and nothing else. There's also a rumor that Caspian will be fancied by Susan...or something to that effect. Construction on sets have already begun...but who will be Caspian? :confused:

It sounds like Andrew may have thrown out his short list and started over...who knows. Either that or they're trying to keep all the young girls from finding out who Caspian is so that they can get their work done without him being stalked. ;)

Well...I'm not sure about the casting part...but I think he has to already be cast b/c they start filming a month from Friday!! :eek:

But I know that the rumor that there's going to be SusanCaspian in the movie is false. That was made up by somebody last April Fools' Day, along w/ the rumors that Johnny Depp would play Caspian, Rupert Grint would be Trumpkin, and Mr. T would be the voice of Reepicheep. :eek:

It was made up on April-fools day but it is also possible that the idea was already in the minds of the scriptwriters, and it just happened that the idea was also thought up by the April-fool pranksters.

I would take both rumors with a large pinch of salt, because, as "Alambil and Tarvis" said, the are casting in just over a month, and it is likely they would have cast the part already, and it looks like the same "spy" found out both pieces of info, so if one of them is incorrect, it is likely that they both are incorrect.
 
I know...I'm just telling what I read. I bet that someone put it in there to keep the press away...or all of the crazed fans.

I wouldn't either...he's gonna have enough of a problem with girls trying to get on the set with Will and Skandar there. Who knows...we'll probably get the full story of how everything happened on the "extras" on the PC DVD.
 
Top secret intel here folks...

Auditions are being held for Caspian in America this week.

Don't know what that means, as I thought the role had been cast for over a month now, but what I tell you is 100% factual.
