Prince Caspian: Ben Barnes & why is he so old?

First off, all of that is just rumors. We have nothing definitive about anything dealing with the script.

Second off, May I point out what Paul said in the Mailbag about Ben Barnes age:

A: The fellow playing him is 25, and that's a very good thing. He's someone that is able to play younger. In fact, I won't be surprised if people believe him to be younger. It's funny how many times we see people in movies that we think are younger than they actually are. Just look at the cast of High School Musical, for example. Some of the high school students are actually out of college! So don't let his age get to you. It'll make it easier to make him look older for Voyage of the Dawn Treader. They won't need to hire an older actor to fill his role at all. It's a win-win situation for the studio, and for us!

the woman who plays Taylor in HSM is 27 and she plays the part of a highschooler perfectly, Ashley tinsdale is Twenty-two, Lucas Grabeel is twenty-three, zac is 19 and a half. they all play highschoolers, so I think that the age is a non-issue.

You may have a point, I guess. I'll let the subject sit in my head for a while, and then see how I feel about it. The thing that bothers me is that Adamson and Co. let it be... I mean, well.....

Hmmm

He certaintly doesn't look like how I imagined Caspian, and I think most fans will agree with me there. He's also too old, but they had to make him about the same age as William Moseley. And he also has to be able to play the character in VDT. So, it's a little tricky.

yes, I agree with you. I do think that he is too old to play the part of Caspian at least in this next upcoming movie.. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and the Siver Chair would be fine; there would be no problem there. Prince Caspian is a bit of a controversy.

I don't know. There is no doubt in my mind the movie will be excellent, but as far as the plot goes...

And I'm still not happy about this flirting business.

Sorry if I'm making a mountain out of a molehill, guys- I had to get that stuff off my chest.

you have a very good point. one of my friends told me that that one guy who plays Jackson in Hannah Montana is 30 yrs. old which shocked me. cause from what i see of him....he doesn't look like he's 30........random, sorry

we know nothing for certain save the filming location, the fact that they are slated to begin filming it on Monday, and we know ten of the actors.

A thing that is bothering me is that Queen Lucy, King Edmund and High King Peter are well...being kinda "left out." its all about Caspian..I know he's the main charatcer in this. and Susan..well..her romance with Caspian and all..she just doesnt really seem to be so much left out to me.

and Aslan... seems left out.

Well, it's only natural that the attention be centered around Caspian, b/c he IS the main character. But I do agree that the others are being left out. Especially ASLAN! I mean, He's the most important of anybody!

And why isn't anyone talking about Reepicheep? Somebody say something about Reepicheep!
