Prince Caspian Soundtrack

Yeah, I have the special edition soundtrack for LWW, and it's really cool. It comes with the regular CD and then a DVD that has features about the making of the soundtrack. :D I hope they have a special edition for PC, too, though I haven't heard anything about it.
 
Don't mean to double post, but the soundtrack is out tomorrow! I'm planning on getting it in the morning and want to know what everyone thinks of it. :D
 
I'm actually waiting until after I see the movie to buy the soundtrack. Shock horrorz! XD But the 30-second previews on iTunes sound awesome!
 
The soundtrack is available in stores today if you guys want to get it. I'm going to f.y.e. (for your entertainment) today to get it and to see if I can get a PC t-shirt at the disney store.

I'm going to pick up the soundtrack today at Barnes and Noble.

I wish I could get the tee shirt, maybe I can make trip up to the mall before friday and pick the tee shirt up at the Disney store.

My Disney Store doesn't have any t-shirts yet. I hope I can get one before the movie comes out. If not, it won't be the end of the world. I can still bring my soundtrack to listen to and my Aslan stuffed animal. My Disney store has cute little kids costumes, one for Lucy and one as a narnian knight. They're meant for probably 3 years or younger, but they're so cute. I wish they had a Lucy one in adult size. They Disney Store doesn't even know when they get the shirts. Watch, it'll probably be Friday. Well, if that's the case I'll have to do great planning to go to the mall and walk to the theater.

I got my soundtrack though. It was $19.99 before tax.

The PC soundtrack comes in a cardboard case believe it or not. The first one I have came in a regular CD case. I just find it cheap and it doesn't seem like it would be well protected. But, the CD looks ok.

I didn't get my soundtrack today...We stopped by the Family Christian Bookstore, but there was only one guy working, so he hadn't put the new stuff out yet because he had to be at the register. And we had to leave right then to go to a funeral, so I won't be able to get my soundtrack until Thursday. :o

I'm also surprised they're not doing a special edition yet. But in a way, I'm kind of glad, because if I saw the special edition, I would have to buy it, and I really don't need to spend that extra money now. :p
 
Yeah I'm not thrilled with the cardboard packaging. I know it's this new "environmentally friendly" trend that the record companies are on right now, but it really does seem to cheapen the product imo.
 
I was a little dissapointed with the cardboard case as well, but......I absolutely love the music! :D Its definetly more intense. It reminds me of some of my favorite other soundtracks (Pirates, LOTR :p) buts its very distinctly Narnian. As a musician I absolutely adore the scores....As a Narnia fan, I'm not sure yet. The music is very exciting--and beautiful--and seems to fit all of the changes they have made to the plot, so hopefully PC will be a winner :p
 
I've listened to most of the Soundtrack and I must say it simply wonderful. The score is both beautiful and intense, while lyric songs by the artists are a little more mellow and soft (except maybe This is Home by switchfoot). The case doesn't really bother me, It's kinda convient for getting to the disc. In conclusion if you are true Narnian get it!

Also some other notes: some of the songs are wonderful remixes of the songs from LWW with some twists, while others sound like they have a hint of the King of Heaven score in them. However this doesn't at all diminish the beauitful score. It infact it enhances it, I like the direction Harry-Gregson Willams went with the score. It's moody and a tad darker, but not in a distubing in way. OVerall a great soundtrack. :)

ohmygosh I can't wait till the soundtrack's released. LWW's soundtracks were reallyyyy nice. And very happy Switchfoot sang 'This is Home' for the movie :p
 
Jep, indeed, some tracks are much more 'dark' and mysterious. Also a bit weird maybe, with no real melody in it. Weird, but not bad, like it!
 
I personally like it better than the LWW Soundtrack, at least when it comes to the score. It's less soft and more rash, more fast paced. I must say however that I didn't care so much for the vocal tracks this time around. I really only liked This Home and The Call.
