Science trivia

The "Hole in the Wall" was an experiment in minimally invasive education. Children in India were given access to a computer and internet access and self-taught themselves to use them.

One constellation is thought to be the thirteenth sign of the zodiac. In fact the sun does pass through it during parts of December. Name that constellation :)

Actually, I was thinking of the astronomical hole in the wall...

hmm...it's what pulled Voyager from the Alpha Quadrant into the Delta Quadrant, and no matter how much they tried to find or enter one, it just disappeared :D :p

I'm kidding...is it a time-travel thing? or something similar?

A wormhole is, theoretically, a 'straight' passageway between two points in 'curved' space. For instance, if you were to take a piece of paper and mark two points on it, then bend it in half between the points, then it would take longer to walk across the surface of the paper from point A to point B then it would to just simply go throught the paper. Theoretically, a wormhole works on the same principle. However, it has been proven that to keep a wormhole open for more than a few milliseconds, one would need a constant flow of negative energy. And, since any pulse of negative energy must be followed by another, larger pulse of POSITIVE energy, it is practically impossible to maintain a constant stream of negative energy.

There is no limit to the size of a black hole

Actually, a black hole has no size. You see, the actual hole itself is a singularity - a geometrical point. it has ZERO length, ZERO height, ZERO width. You were probably thinking of the size of a black hole's event horizon.

knowledge /= intelligence or knowledge < intelligence *is not greater than*

I think that's the sign in math for "not equal to" but I think the long line is in the middle of the equal sign.
