After watching The Clone Wars through episode 6 of Season 6, I can honestly say that the Jedi are some of the most dimwitted and oblivious characters there ever were in any TV or Movie series. In my mind they probably rank lower than the stupid characters usually portrayed by Will Farrel and Jack Black (No, I do not watch their movies, but I've seen a sample). I mean, come one, to be taken in with so many deceptions on almost every episode was just too much. They never questioned anything, never investigated anything, never suspected even the most obvious of evidences, it was just crazy. I was about to pull my hair just watching how Dooku and the Chancellor played them at every turn. They could have been fooled with a devious plan involving children, Barbie Dolls, and Lollipops. The whole thing could have gone like this:
Chancellor Palpatine, to the Jedi Council: "Gentlemen, It has come to my attention that there is a plot to kidnap me. Apparently Count Dooku is recruiting cute little girls and their Barbie Dolls and somehow he plans to use them against the Republic. The rumor is that he intends to reward them with loads of Lollipops if the mission is a success."
Yoda: "Troubling, this news is."
Master Windu: "Something must be done fast. We cannot allow any harm to come to the dolls, or the little girls, of course."
Obi-Wan: "I agree, but shouldn't we investigate the Mattel Factory first to see how many dolls they produce a month? That will give us an idea of the size of the plot."
Windu: "The suggestion has it's merits. You could lead the investigating team and head for the factory at once."
Anakin, expressing a little doubt but not really: "But Chancellor, how can this be true? How can little girls pose a threat, and how is Dooku planning to control them?
Yoda: "Underestimate the Dark Side, we should not, Skywalker. Confiscate the dolls, we must."
Master Plo Koon: I will lead a squadron of Clones and begin gathering the dolls while Master Kenobi investigates the Factory."
Anakin: "And what do we do about the Lollipops? Shouldn't we go to every candy store and buy them all before Dooku uses them, and then burn all the lollipops in front of the suspects to teach them a lesson."
Obi-Wan: "Anakin, we must think clearly and make rational decision if we are to stop this plot in its tracks."
Anakin: "I suppose you're right, Master. May the force be with you."
Seriously, it was like that every time the Jedi Council met. Grrrrrr.
