Susan/Caspian

I think Susan/Caspian should not happen. C.S. Lewis wrote these books for children. It's supposed to be a fantasy about magical worlds, good triumphs over evil, and adventure! Love? Not so much.

Besides, they can have all the fun they want with Aravia and Shasta. :p

Somehow i have the feeling that some of you have never truly been in love.
If you fall in love with someone you don´t fall for the name or whatever, you just fall in love with the person. If it´s a queen or a poor woman doesn´t matter. So why shouldn´t Caspian fall in love with her? Just because she is "the Queen of Narnia"?
You can´t lead love, and love is also pretty strange.
As long as they sell it as "real love" it´s fine with me, but i wouldn´t really like just a little "flirt" between them. A flirt means nothing, you can flirt with anyone, but true love is something wonderful!

amen agree....and i will have fun being shasta, thank you :)

I wouldn't say it's not stories about love! In fact love is poured into the stories...there just not that much romantic love. But I agree that there shoudn't be. Not because she's the "queen" but because C.S. Lewis didn't write that and he never meant it to happen that way.

Honestly, I don't actually mind the romance thing. It's cool.... IF IT WAS A PROPER PAIR. I mean, they go together. Come on, who agrees with me? They look good together. Here's the problem: the whole idea is really stupid because it's a couple that RUINS THE ENTIRE BOOK! See my point? If Susan fell in love with Caspian, she would've returned for him in the Last Battle and never stopped believing in Narnia! Get the picture? Argh...

That felt good. :D

Not really...he's actually dead so...yeah :p

I'm not THAT fussy about this small flirting thingy...I'm actually 100% that it's going to be nothing in the movie.

I have decided not to let myself get worked up over it.
Oh, where is the fun in that?!
:)

I agree with you. I don't think it is going to be a big romance, and I don't think it is going to hurt the story. Look at how PJ built Arwen's character up out of nothing in LOTR, and it was a huge PLUS in my mind for the movies. Taking a little liberty with the book can enhance the movie, I think.

Depends on what the liberty is and how much is taken...and how it impacts the story. I'm not going to really get worked up over this one either I don't think. There's enough I've heard about to get worked up over later in other areas...I'll pick my battles.

I think she didn´t mean that Ben is dating Anna, she meant that this whole "love" thing has something to do with real live.

for me, if it's not in the book, don't put it in the movie. if the book was good without that hint of romance, then so can the movie. = )

well if they get all flirty well okay happy happy joy joy no serious likey though:p

if they dont well i wont die ther was absolutely no romance in the book so whatev:rolleyes:

I wasn't intentionally saying something wrong.. I just was freaked by what Frodosgirl said. :D I'm really an avid anti-susan/caspian. :D Just as many of you hate Willabeth. :D
