No, I didn't expect it at all! Yikes!
Ditto...
Yeah, I love writing but I need action in my stories to be able to keep writing them and since this story wasn't enticing me I added something that did. Trust me this gets good, I already have a plan for what's going to happen in my mind and... well you'll see.
Mimi grabbed Mozart's paw and started dragging her along.
"I'll explain later, just get me to this fortress!"
Mozart decided to do as she was told and quickly took the lead, stopping by the doorway of the barn. Peering out she saw several black crows circling above and knew they would not escape unseen.
Unless there was a diversion...
What seemed like years ago now but really had only happened a few months before came back to Mozart and she remembered the terrifying and confusing jailbreak from Cogg's castle that had almost ended disaterously. It was crazy but maybe, just maybe it would work again...
Mozart slipped back inside and hurried over to Mimi, who was huddling in a corner shaking.
"I'm going to distract the crows while you run." Mozart explained quickly.
"H-how will I find your castle?" Asked Mimi, her voice wavering and unsteady.
"Give me a piece of paper." commanded Mozart. Mimi quickly obliged- taking a tattered scrap from her pack- and handed it to Mozart who scratched a few hurried marks on the map.
"I haven't the time for details, but follow this route," she pointed to a trail she had traced through the paper, "And you'll get there. The trees will hide you from the crows and I can hold them off for awhile I think."
"W-what will you do though?" Mimi asked.
Mozart smiled grimly, "I am what is known as a knightess. I have sworn an oath to protect those weaker than myself- even if it means death on my part, and I readily intend to keep that oath! Now, when you see the crows distracted by me run like crazy to the woods and follow my map. When you get to Reandalawo tell them that Mozart the Meerkitten sent you. If they don't believe you ask for Flower- she'll let anybody in she thinks is trustworthy and who knows my name. Now go and wait by the door."
