The Arwenites and Eowynites.

Thank goodness for the Revivenites. :p

I'm an Eowynite all the way. She's amazing, and you can easily relate to her stubborness, fear and anger. And she was just as good in the movies as in the books, whereas Arwen's character was, in my opinion, somewhat modified for the worst in the movies. Sorry, Peter Jackson.
As a bonus, I love Rohan.

Eowyn is always awesome ;)

did you know that Tolkien originally was going to have Aragorn marry Eowyn?

Affiramtive, that is one of the reasons I don't get to upset over the short romance between Aragorn and Eowyn in The Two Towers film. In a way it shows us what could have been, what Tolkien had intended originally. :)

actually I've always just considered that a movie-fied version of what happened in the book :p

The only difference being that Aragorn did seem to recipicate feelings toward Eowyn (especially in the TTT Extended Edition and the beginning of the ROTK). In book he just gave her the shaft. XD

no, I never noticed him reciprocating feelings toward her, he was just too nice to tell her otherwise ;)

Well he gave her signals and if he wasn't a bit interested then he would have stayed more distant and assumed his more reclusive/quiet nature. :)

Frankly I think there was intention to make Aragorn appear as if he had feelings, maybe not deep romantic ones like he shared with Arwen. But a bond that could have formed into something more. It does help that in movie they added in the drama of him breaking it off with Arwen the night before he leaves with the Fellowship. I personally don't care for added drama, especially when in regards to epics like LOTR.

In the books Eowyn was best. I would have liked the Arwen of the movies if she had been played by Brooke Shields!!!:p:p

I never thought there was, even with the added drama, he was just missing Arwen and kept thinking about her while Eowyn was talking to him ;) :p
