I deny that the dangers of pulling a sock over your head are obvious. No such warning appears on sock packaging, and until it does, pulling a sock over your head is a perfectly safe and respectable thing to do.

Rarely, but why do we need to worry about respectability? I think it would pique the audience's interest if students graduated wearing socks on their head. Graduations are so boring, the people could use the emotional boost.

Mine was incredibly dull and made me want to never attend another one. Unfortunately, my younger sister ruined all my good intentions. So I went to hers. But I brought a book. Well, actually I brought two books....

I wanted to bring a pen to my own so I could doodle but I couldn't find one at the right time

I recommend Chesterton. But then, I recommend Chesterton for everything.

To her own graduation, I assume.

I couldn't bring a book to my graduation because I had to walk across the stage and couldn't really leave it behind, but could definitely not carry it with me. Anyhow I probably wouldn't have been able to concentrate unless I also missed my cue to go up on the stage.

What would you draw the line with? Pencil? Chalk? Blood?

Haha. I know nothing of your plight. I was homeschooled, so my graduation was literally all about me. Which... pros and cons.

And I completely flunked college, so no graduation from that. Which... also pros and cons.

But always draw lines in pen. That way any old nincompoop can't change the line. And blood, really? Are you conjuring someone/something? Leave blood line-drawing to augurs and the like.

Messenger bags are a great help for that sort of dilemma.

A blue fountain pen. It's classy and elegant.

Indeed. A grand affair.

I would have had no qualms leaving things behind, they gave us programs anyway, so we had to leave those.

Well.... *thinks happy thoughts of thievery* Anyway, Bilbo was a burglar. If it's good enough for Bilbo, it's good enough for me.

(Although my sister is the one with the real crime record in the family. She stole a pair of fake pink bunny ears from the grocery store when she was four years old, and she still talks about the bunny ears with longing.)

With my sister? No. Pink bunny ears are not at all attractive. War paint, on the other hand....
