Terran looked at everyone. She was a loner in this crowd. She didn't belong yet she had a feeling making her stay with these people. She was ashamed she had lost her temper and vowed not to lose it again.
Nothing could convince Leila that she would grow to like these people. Oh sure some were alright, but others she knew she'd have major friction with. What made her go along with this whole cherade was the nagging feeling she was supposed to be here. She rolled her eyes to herself as she thought about the cliche` fairytales about the hero's fate and destiny.
Looking at the others she could see most of them believed those types of tales. "Poor fools," she whispered to Beusephalis, "they don't know its all a joke."
Sienna was quiet and patted Boleyn. She couldnt see anything, yet she knew that Acela was doing a great job at seeing for everyone. She heard a bat over head and ducked a little.
Leila heard the bats fly above them. For the first time since she was on this trip she was happy. Bats were a sign of good luck where she came from, for they were so rare. She pulled out a piece of fruit and had three or four bats rest on her arm. She kept feeding them as if they were hungry kittens wanting their mother's milk.
"Oh, they are so cute, they are adorable!"she said looking at the ats, she now was coming out from having her eyes glow, on purpose. She made it so light was infront of everyone so they could see. She looked at the bats.
"I just did, but here"she said, making the lights dimmer, and making the lights go out from around the bats, they came back to her arms. "There we go,"she said giggleing. A bat came and sat on her shoulder. She gave him a bit of an apple.
"Now you see bats are the best creatures. Easily satisfied and cute when you really get to know them. Poor things are so misunderstood up here in the north."
"I always knew they were the best, I used to play with them a lot when I was little, we could play all night since I could see in the dark...I loved it."she said, now thinking of her father, she missed him a lot.
Sienna looked at the bats.
"I guess they are kinda cute...I've never really looked at one before..." she said extending a finger to the belly of the bat on Acelas shoulder
