Just curious what does your name mean largevoice? Any specific meaning>?
when you get to know me here on this site, you will find out that im in love with william moseley and orlando bloom!! lol

she-elfwarrior19, My name comes from The Horse and His Boy, when Shasta is alone (near the pass), and he's talking to Aslan. Since it's dark and misty, he can only hear Aslan's voice - the Large Voice, see!? lol And I agree with you about Orli. ;)

HI FOLKS! :D Just thought I'd give my two cents and no I'm not Dirk Benedict.

I am loving what I'm seeing so far I seriously hope they make 'The Magician's Nephew' and 'The Horse and his Boy'. Two books I like that weren't made into films by the BBC. I am a bit dissapointed that Jadis played by Tilda Swinton isen't wearing any white skin make-up. Because if you read the book on page 33:-

'A great lady, taller than any woman that Edmund had ever seen. She also was covered in white fur up to her throat and held a long straight golden wand in her right hand and wore a golden crown on her head. Her face was white-not merely pale, but white like snow or paper or icing sugar, except for her very red mouth.'

Hopefully they will digitally add that in later as it's why she is called 'The White Witch', people who have read 'The Magician's Nephew' will know how she got into Narnia and how she was cursed with her skin problem (She wasen't always white) I hope that the director Andrew Adamson will take 'The Magician's Nephew' into consideration because it is a very important book, it's probably too late now.

I was also very excited to hear that Weta will be handling the weapons and armour as their work on 'The Lord of the Rings' gave the film such a feel of realism that I have never seen in any other film before or since except in 'Gladiator'.

Welcome to the site Starbuck. Thanks for your input on this topic. I totally agree with you. I'm hoping that they will make her look alot whiter in the actual film, otherwise they're missing out a really important part. And I also agree about the MN and HHB - those two are my favourite books, and Id be really dissapointed if they werent made into films!!

Once again, great to have you with us. :)

Welcome, Starbuck!
Good points about the witch, but if you look at the photo of Tilda that cycles through at the top of the page once in a while, she looks pretty white. I think she'll be good.

Hi Inkspot!

And I agree, I haven't seen her before but I think she'll do a great job! And her wardrobe and look so far is very impressive even though I haven't seen her with white skin yet. And I hope Tilda succeeds in putting her on the film franchise intimidation level of 'Darth Vader' and 'Sauron' (Imagine if you put these three in a room and they had to duke it out! Who would win?!! Maybe have her fighting against 'The Wicked Witch of the west', the Queen from 'Snow White' and 'Maleficent' from 'Sleeping Beauty' but that's probably taking things way too far). By the way is 'The White Witch' and 'The Green Lady' from 'The Silver Chair' and 'Tash' one and the same?

The White Witch and the Green Lady might be the same...I don't know if there's enough information to be sure. But Tash...It's almost as though the White Witch represents the devil, and Tash is the devil; if you follow me. :o

Hello to you too! It's great to be here.

I was absolutely excited to learn that 'Weta' would be producing the props hope they'll make a 'Hobbit' movie with 'Peter Jackson'. It would be a true crime if they don't make films based on all the other books as it is proven that live action films are golden franchises if you look at the 'Spy Kids' and 'Harry Potter' films and I sincerely hope that the 'Chronicles of Narnia' movies blow them out the water!

For the seven books of 'The Chronicles of Narnia' are true lucrative gold mines just waiting to be exploited by a skilled and loving hand with absolute respect for the material (Did you know that one film plot had the series set in present day and replacing turkish delight with 'HAM BURGERS!') and I have no doubt of that since 'C.S. Lewis's' own stepson 'Douglas Gresham' is co-producer, quite a 'hands on role'.

The films will be made by the wise 'Walden Media' who have stood up to the plate to create this accurate version of the film (whoever runs the company must have a heap of dough to create something of seemingly 'Lord of the Rings' visual quality) and not 'The Walt Disney' company who will only be releasing it in cinemas so a lot of the praise should go to 'Walden Media' and especially 'C.S. Lewis' who is obviously up there right now with his friend Tolkien looking down on us.

Intriging, I just wish that C.S. Lewis did clean that up a bit and add more details to Tash's origin, I mean she must either be 'Tash' or the devil himself is 'Tash'. Wonder what happened to The White Witch' at the end of 'The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe?' Perhaps Aslan cast her down a deep near bottomless pit that sent her plummeting hopefully for all eternity into the marshes of 'Underland'. Maybe that's why the old hag, the werewolf and Nickerbrik in 'Prince Caspian' were trying to 'call her up' with the circle of 'Blue Fire?' Hopefully the film will clean this up.

Hi Gondor,

I wonder how her end would be portrayed and what they did with her body? And if she is the 'Green Lady' how did she become her? And then again the Green Lady was depicted as having normal skin until she got angry near the end of the book when Prince Rillian was freed perhaps revealling her true identity to the readers.

i wonder about that myself...someone i know of has a book that has a character index that says jadis was the green lady as well as the white witch...

personally i don't think it was jadis herself though.

yeah, the white witch needs to be white, because i'm a whitey myself, lol. Nah just kidding, she does just because thats how she is described, but i'm pretty sure she will be.

But that was all just a ploy to just say hello to StarBuck. take it easy and hope you enjoy it here.

she looks very white...but not like ice white...i still see color in her face :p
anywho...i think tilda will make a dandy white witch.i wonder if they gave her really tall high heals to make her taller for the movie?
