EDIT: Oh, man! Shruikin came in just in time! Oh, yes, and the part at the end...*starts tearing up* That was sad! I really thought they made Eragon and Saphira DIE!!! But, it was very dramatic, and I'd give it a 5 out of 5

Im so glad they showed Shruikin, thats a perfect and awesome ending for the film. Yes i liked the voice they chose for Saphira, it was very fitting. I think one of the characters based off the great acting skills was Durza, he really showed the menace that he really is. The movie was really good, i was pleased with all the actors they chose:):)

Hi guys. I saw the film yesterday, and I liked it but it wasn't as good as the book. I thought they misrepresented Murtaugh, because in Eragon, he is supposed to appear to be on Eragon's side, but they didn't really show that. And the story was quite a bit different from the book, which I didn't like.

ok, not to be harsh on eragon, but even looking at it through a movie aspect and not a book even, i found it to be somewhat rushed. murtagh had what...10 minutes airtime? and the second they entered farthen dur, they already geared up for battle? i think the movie could have been a bit better with an extra half hour/hour tacked on. i also think ed speelers needed to work on his acting. i know its his first big film, so i understand he's made quite an accomplishment. i just found some of his reactions a bit off, but you know, that just could be the director's fault and not his. just my thoughts

but on the good side of things, saphira and the ra'zac were beautifully done and the battle between durza and eragon in farthen dur was spectacular, all the characters fit great, but some acting needed work.

Honestly, I was dissapointed. The acting wasn't really has good as I thought it was going to be, and they missed some of the best parts of the whole book! Eragon doesn't even get hurt by Durza!!! That sets what happens in Eldest for crying out loud!
There is SO much more they could have put in there, or as least made it harder to guess what was going to happen. My friends had the whole thing figured out right after Brom told Eragon to get out of his house!
So all in all, I guess I would have to give it a 2 out of 5.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! They can't do that!

Ah, but they did! I know a lot of people looked forward to this coming out and I know I'm not the only one who thinks it stinks!

You know, (I've not seen the movie yet so I've yet to judge it for myself) if people weren't going to make the movies well, I wish they wouldn't make them at all.

I saw a red carpet interview of Chris Paolini at Shurtugal.com, and he apparently liked the movie...so I hope it's decent...I hope it does well at the box office too, or they won't make a sequel!!

After the poor job they did on this one, I kinda hope they don't.
I know...I hated the movie..they cut out so many things....I guess because it was a low budget movie they couldnt do anything...but they didnt show Murtagh like at all!

Hey, I liked the movie.
His budget is 90 mln., not that low. His box-office after 3 days is about 23,5 mln. in USA alone. We'll see what happens. It won't be huge as Narnia, LotR or HP, but it has already beaten Dungeons and dragons and DnD has a sequel.

Have you read the book?
