what movie they do (i hope its the silver chair) i hope that they stay closer to the book this time....otherwise im going to get really annoyed...

I really hope they do SC next! If they do MN then Will Poulter will have grown to much! As one of you stated, it is only suppose to be a few weeks in between VotDT and SC! He can't look that much older or else it wouldn't be right!!!

There's not a lot I can say on this subject that hasn't already been said. :)

I too hope that SC comes next, since it does bring a close to Caspian's story, and also because I feel it is one of the most interesting books in the series. It's a truly amazing and grand adventure considering they fly with the owls, visit a giant's kingdom, and even go so far as to travel deep under the earth and back again to rescue Prince Rilian.

It will be interesting to see which movie they film after that, since TLB comes shortly after SC in chronological order, and will have to have Eustace and Jill back in Narnia again. It's not like they can film some of the scenes while the kids are still young and then go back in six years and fill in the rest of the movie around them.

Knight of Narnia, I would quote your last paragraph if I knew how, but I don't so that is what I'm talking about! :o Anyways what I wanted to say was that in LB Jill and Eustace are 16-17 and in SC their actually supposed to be 11-12 or maybe even younger! There will be quite a bit of time in between the two so it would give the director and movie media people lots of time to make MN and HHB!

Jill, there's a button at the bottom of each post that says, "Quote". Click on that and it will quote the post for you; you can erase what you don't want to quote inside of the

It might--if the Will Poulter had actually been 11-12 when VDT was filmed. Instead, he was two or three years older. He'll probably be sixteen or seventeen by the time the next movie is filmed, not matter what that movie is.

JPDreamer (how many Jill Poles do we have here?), The way I read it, Euastace and Jill are about 10-11 in TSC and 12-13 in TLB as Eustace tells Tirian that the last time they were in Narnia was "more than a year ago" (not sure, paraphrasing). That sounds much less than seven years.

As for the quoting, you can do what Aravis says or do what I do and just copy and paste the quote sraight into your message. Welcome to the forums.

Without a doubt, absolutely, please please please make SC next. I want to see MN as much as everyone else :P. But SC just makes so much much more sense. And it's my absolute FAVORITE book. Even if the movie is 90% different, it has to be better than the BBC which kinda butchered it... But thats off topic and totally opinionated.

Ah, no matter what, the movie peeps have have have to make The Silver Chair next! I've been waiting for Puddleglum forever! :P. And Jill! As to what to make afterwords... Let them choose :P. MN or HHB, hey, even LB if they want but they have to keep SC in there somehow :P.

I just found this information at a site about Narnia.
Years Narnian-years – 2555
Earth years: 1933–1949
As you can see in the earth years, she was 16 when she went to Narnia in the last battle! I don't want to seem like I'm arguing with you. I just want everything to be clear! :o

it will most likely be dark and creepy (the silver chair that is) and that would most likely mean that is close to the book which would really cool!!!!!!!

JPDreamer, I have seen the "official" timeline and disagree with it. I have argued this elsewhere in these forums but can't remember where right now (it's been a while). Also, this is not the thread to make that debate.

No matter, Since Will Poulter is already 16 with a January birthday, he's already too old to be playing Eustace as he was in VotDt and will be much older than his role in TLB if it comes out no matter which timeline is used.

I think the overall tone of the movie is fairly dark, but for it to actually merit more than a 'PG' rating, it would have to involve a fair amount of darkness and death to some of the main characters. HP didn't make it to 'PG-13' until Goblet of Fire, which featured the death of Cedric Digory.

the book is a dark book, thers now doubt about that, but seeing how the movie is market toward young kids to see with there parents then i dont see it would get a M rating, but could be possible...its most likely the last battle will be M rated....

I want TSC done, and I want it done right! I have been waiting for this one. TMN can wait, as that can be made after The Last Battle. They really dont need to do it first.

I would like the Silver Chair done next. If the Silver Chair flops they could reboot the series a decade from now and remake all the films in chronological order with The Magicians Nephew, The Horse and His Boy, The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe, etc.

I am concerned about the direction of the Silver Chair because I do not know how far they will take the "evil green myst" idea.

I voted for The Silver Chair. I just assumed they would be going in a certain order in the books in which case The Magician's Nephew would be last. It makes sense to do it last in this case. It can open up for LWW in such a beautiful way, if they do it right. I prefer the books in order of Narnia history but obviously they can't do it that way because Magician's Nephew would be first.

They should obviously make The Silver Chair next. I think they should just finish them in the publication order... and if they remake this series again someday they shouldn't do it in chronological order, because there would have to be a ten year gap between the filming of LWW and HHB.

As for the time between SC and LB, I've always considered it to be a few years. Eustace does say they were in Narnia "More than a year ago by our time", but he also says that he and Jill are the only ones still in school, and Lucy is portrayed as a very young woman. Thats a big difference from VDT, even the film: I'd say four to six years, which is three and a half to five and a half years between SC and LB. I think it's just a little mistake or contradiction on Lewis' part, but everyone's entitled to their opinion. Now the problem, which has been previously stated, is the Will Poulter is sixteen now. They can certainly make him look younger, but it is a problem.
