Mozart waited until her three friends were down from the wall.
"Mozart what the heck is going on?!?" squeaked Dorthy in an urgent whisper.
"Just shoot at the walls when I tell you." Mozart whispered back.

When a sufficient amount of evil's creatures were on the walls, Mozart nodded and cried out,
"FIRE!"

Twang! Twang! Twang! Twang! The arrows were realeased from the bows almost simltaniously. A number of the opposition fell to the deadly missiles.

Toto, Caspian, Frodo and Midnight were all who were left to defend the wall.
"What in the name of all things good is Mozart plannin now?!?" Toto hissed to Caspian.
"Not sure bro, but if Mozart came up with it, its gotta be good.... DUCK BOYS!" the last words Caspian spoke came out as a frightened screach. He looked up when the hail had stopped and saw his two sisters and his three friends fitting more arrows to their bows.

The girls picked the enemy off like ducks at a hunters convention.

"Best part is, we were even told by one of their own to hit em up!" laughed Mozart.
"You were? asked four other astonished voices.
"We were?" echoed Smokey incredulously.
"Yeah, 'member that cocky general? Told me an Smokes to shoot those on the walls... So we are aren't we?" laughing grimly she fired another arrow into the air.

Shawnti was glad she hadn't gone up on the wall with her soldiers. The she-cat commader had actually been halfway up one of the ladders when the first hail or arrows started.
Knowing she had been defeated, Shawnti motioned to one of the soldiers to sound the retreat. But before she left, the she cat took out her bow and shot an arrow onto the ramparts. It came nowhere close to any of the defenders, but Shawnti smiled to herself.
'Oldest trick in the book.' she thought as she ran back with her troops.

Smokey had gone back onto the walls. She was talking with the others of the LFF Catlition when she noticed a white sheet of parchment attached to a black fletched arrow.
Picking up both the arrow and the parchment, she tapped Mozart on the shoulder and asked,
“Mozie, what this?”

Mozart inspected the white paper, with beautifully scripted pawriting. The little cat read the message aloud,
‘This is a request of defeat. This white parchment signifies peace. We will leave you and by tomorrow at this time you will not be able to even see the smoke of our campfires. You win. We leave you in peace.’
Shawnti, commander of Cogg’s mighty army, Long live the Wolf king!

Mozart stared and stared at the parchment.
Toto tore it out of her immobile paws and read it.
“They gave up,” He gapped “We, won.”
Caspian stared, then said
“Lets give ‘em that ole battle song mama taught us.”

Dorthy nodded numbly, lifted her head and cried out in a high soprano voice,
“WEEEEEE WOOOON!!!!!!!”

Then the others began as the LFF Catlition trekked about proclaiming,

“We’ve won the battle!
Can you believe it friend?
We won!
We did it!
We’re free!
Free for now,
The evil has left,
Let the young ones out!
For we are safe once again
Safe an’ sound
Evils gone back below the ground!
Now we’re free again!”

But Mozart added silently
‘For now.’

Caspian: You people have no imagniation.
Frodo: *nods sadly* copykittens!
Mozart: I really sory people, but its true.:(
Frodo: *throws popcorn at my readers* nyah!
me: ok guys they get it, you can stop (Frodo!:p)

Shawnti had the fires doused and the smoke obliterated. The she cat was enjoying herself actually. She had sent a message requesting help to Cogg, and all her other allies, and was thinking of how to enter Reandalawo.

‘Not by the walls, those are too slippery. The main gate is to obvious…. What about that little northgate? Those troublesome kits came out of it…'

Then she cat’s imagination ran free then, thinking of what she would do after she had played the part of servant and captured Reandalawo. Then she would trick Cogg into thinking she was completely loyal, then she would beat him at his own game, kill him and steal his wealth and treasures. It did not occur to Shawnti though, that Tigerclaw still stood in her way. Tigerclaw, who had been Cogg’s pet for years. Tigerclaw, who had many more connections then her in Cogg’s fortress. Tigerclaw, who was, perhaps, more crafty then even her.

Glad you all like it!:D Here is an interesting update that may make you wonder:

A day after it was sent, Tigerclaw received Shawnti’s message.
‘Thinks she’s so good, but then she needs help just to try and capture a couple of rebellious creatures! Ha! I’ll give her help I will!’ he thought smiling to himself.

Cogg however had his own plans. From the start he had known of the conflict between Shawnti and Tigerclaw. He knew one would in the end triumph over the other. The one who won the commandership of his army he would keep awhile, to see if they could still be trusted to not betray him. If they began to get to great a grasp on power though, that would be a different story…

Mozart couldn’t sleep. Festivities and feasts had been planned for the next few days, but the merriment had no effect on the little cat.

‘Its too good to be true that they’d just run away like that,’ she thought, ‘They’re planning something, they must be! From what Tori says, and Frodo, Smokey and Shadow, Cogg doesn’t settle for softies in his army…. Somethings going on… but what?’ eventually she had fallen asleep. But even sleep gave no rest to the kitten. She tossed and turned and rolled of the bed once, and try as she might she could not find peace.

As she tossed and turned though, she suddenly saw a white light. It approached her, and seemed to take the form of a huge white cat. Mozart felt frightened, but at the same time calm.
“Who, who are you?” she asked the Cat.
“I am always, and neverending. I will always be and always have been.” Was the White Cat’s reply.
“How, how did you get here? The gate is locked, and the door was shut!” squeaked Mozart.
“Locked gates and shut doors do not keep me out, child.”
Mozart swallowed her fear and sat up straiter.
“Why are you here then? Surely not to see me. I’m but a kit, you’re probably here to see Ribbony or Dora or Jako…” but the White Cat just stared at her, then spoke Mozart savored his voice, it tasted like honey and flowed like water down a river.
“I have come to speak with you Mozart. No other. Now listen to me, for what I am going to say to you is most important.”
Mozart wanted to argue that He must have the wrong cat, but she stayed respectfully silent.
“As you have thought, the enemy will make another move. He will strike during the feast tomorrow. You must be ready. Take courage young one, for I shall be with you in your charge for freedom.” Then the White Cat began to fade, Mozart tried to call him back though,
“Are you sure its me? It can’t be! I’m, I-…” the Cat’s stern no-nonsense eyes watched her intently though and she stopped babbling.
“You have more courage than even you know, Mozart the Meerkitten, do not fear, I will be with you.” Then the White Cat faded, and Mozart was awakened by Caspian shaking her.

“Mozart, Mozart wake up! Its almost time for the feast!”
Mozart stood, and Caspian could see his sister had changed.
“Get the others, take them to the main hall, I’ll be there waiting for them.”
Caspian stared open mouthed at his sister, then answered readily,
“Yes ma’m!”

“We will be attacked today, during the feast.” Mozart was upfront with the members of this harried consul meeting.

“How do you know that?” countered Jak.
Mozart turned her serious blue eyes on him. Jak wilted slightly beneath her stare.
“I was told by the White Cat.” She said boldly.

“That’s impossible!” cried Dora, “The Great White Cat hasn’t been seen for years!”
“Until today.” Was Mozart’s reply.
“Mozart, what did he look like?” asked Ribbony.

Mozart smiled.
“He was pure white, whiter than snow! His voice was as sweet as honey, and His eyes, oh His eyes. His eyes were more than one hundred, no one thousand million, times more beautiful than mine!”

Surprised muttering came from the assembled creatures, the elders, and the Catlitions.

Misty stood and spoke softly,
“Remember when Cogg first came? The White Cat came and told us that a warrior would come and not only defeat Cogg, but kill him too. He came to me once. I nought but a tiny kit then, but I never forgot his words.
He told me that the warrior would not be who we would expect. But that he, or she, would be a good leader, a loyal friend and a brave, but not ruthless warrior. And that he himself would come and give a sign of who the warrior was. I don’t remember if he told me anything else… except that when the warrior finally came my family would be re-united.”

Silence greeted these words. Then Ribbony stood.
“The warrior is a she cat.” He said plainly.

All eyes turned to Mozart.

The she kitten seemed to be glowing, by what light that lit her up that day few save those in the consul ever knew.

When Mozart spoke it seemed that the glow grew stronger and brighter, beginning to light up the room.

“Let us go out and meet them. Let us show them that we are not frightened kits who will hide in their fortress until the sun falls from the sky and the grass withers. Let us show them that we are the servants of the great White Cat, who has always looked after us.”

Caspian drew his sword.
“We’re with you Mozart!”

*cheers*
GO MOZART!!!

You are learning why this book is called The Tale of Mozart the Meerkitten, eh?:D;)

Chapter 20
“For Freedom and the White Cat!”

Jako watched Mozart and her siblings explaining the situation to the rest of Reandalawo.
‘Rita, if you could see them... Are they really? Let me be able to tell! I don’t want to lose them if I don’t have to! Why did this happen? Oh why?’ he shook his head sadly.

The Reanlawoins raised their weapons with Mozart. The blue stone on the pommel shone brightly. Jako looked up, and he knew. He knew.

Reinforcements had come to Shawnti…
Except from Cogg.

Then, as she readied herself for the charge, a trumpet sounded, and
Tigerclaw emerged from the forest, carrying Cogg's banner, a huge black wolf standing on a blood-red backround.

“What took you so long?” Shawnti hissed in his ear.
Tigerclaw shrugged, “Just took a little longer to get your message.” He hissed back.
