VoDT in 3-D?

Hey Guys just like to say that I hope that VODT is not made in 3-D, I would like not like it personally.
I think the story has everything and these things are not required.
I agree completely, but I think they are going to make it in 3-D anyway, the conversion process has already begun. I just hope it will be good in 3D!

Brother, as has been mentioned, it will come out in both regular and 3-D. If you don't want to shell out the extra dough to see it in 3-D, you'll have the option to watch it as it was originally intended.

Yeah, I guess I will go and see it in 2D and then in 3D as some have mentioned they will do. Anything to drive up sales. As long as it is profitable, I guess I'm all for 3D in addition to 2D.

I just wish the theaters would give the option for me to bring my other 3-D glasses and not have to pay any more than 2-D. But, unfortunately, that would mean less money for the theaters.

I might end up seeing it in 3-D just to help the sales. They're spending the money to do it in 3-D hoping it'll catch peoples attention i guess. I just hope they don't lose a TON of money from doing so.

the world is just in another one of those 3D phases like back in the 70s or when ever it was the original 3D thing started with those coloured lenses.....just the modern 3D is more effective on the most part ....it might last but might not either, so by the time the end up making SC they may not do it in 3D..... ( hopeing they will make silver chair....according to IMDB its in pre production stages, so im assuming they all sitting round a big table writing it all...lol )

Like I commented elsewhere, I seriously believe that today's 3D is the equivalent of yesterday's smellevision! It's a stupid fad. I won't watch it in 3D

it may be good in 3d but will just have to wait and see ive seen two films in 3d and i throught it was pretty good but they also give the option of seeing it in 2d so you cansee one or the other i may see it in both.

:D3-d glasses hurt my eyes so i won't see it in 3-d but I will of course seeit for real:D

I suspect that 3-D glasses might get in the way of my real glasses, which I wouldn't be able to take off during the movie unless I wanted to see everything blurrily.

I'll just put my 3D glasses over my other glasses- I always did that when I was younger with my sun glasses (not the ones you hook on your glasses either!).

At first I thought it'd be cool to watch VoDT in 3D; but now I'm not sure, I can't decide if see it normal or in 3D

P.S: my mom votes for 3D :p

Anything on 3D is horrible. Normally, humans don't even see things in 3D. Is not as if the background is blurry in real life:rolleyes:. It's a stupid fad I tell ya!!!

It's overdone. I used to love 3D because it was such a treat, and if you saw a 3D film it had been made for 3D. Today practically everything is in 3D and a lot of the films weren't even shot in 3D so there are no particular effects. I wish they were not doing VDT in 3D. It's just being on the bandwagon now, and who cares? If the film is good, it will be good without a last-minute conversion to 3D. *** gripe gripe gripe ***

A lot of this 3D craze was the result of a particularly good film (Avatar) that just happened to be 3D. And the 3D (from what I understand) is fairly conservative. and was executed by someone who is a big stickler for details (James Cameron). So, a lot of this current 3D craze rides on the coattails of a film that didn't have to be 3D to be a great film. The copycat syndrome. Still, the current 3D craze has roots that go back a few years. Different producers have been talking about it, and technology demonstrations have been quietly going on.

I am disappointed that they are (apparently) making VDT 3D out of a 2D production. Nothing can ever replace the shooting of a film that is intended to be 3D, with a 3D rig. (Every other booth at NAB this year featured some sort of 3D product.) The computer-generated 3D is likely to be nothing short of garish. Shame on them!

I will see VDT just once in 3D-- on opening night for the midnight showing, which will almost certainly only be 3D. After that, 2D. My eyes don't work well in 3D (exatropic strabimus, to the point I have split vision). After that, only 2D. (The last film I saw in 3D was 'Lions 3D' at the Luxor Imax theater in Las Vegas in 2007. IMAX active 3D does work for me. Sadly, this first-rate IMAX theater no longer exists. )(As much as I like Avatar (saw it 4 times), I only gave cursory thought to seeing it in 3D.)

I don't think this 3D fad is going to last. It is already showing signs of abating. It has come and gone several times since the early '50's. (You can see a write-up on the first 3D feature film, 'Bwana Devil' herel. (I have a special interest in this film, as it is about the Maneating lions of Tsavo.)

Only time will tell.

That said, I fear other things about this film far worse than a shoddy 3D job. Like why is the White Witch involved?
