I-Love-Edmund

I hope they don't exaggerate the romance between King Caspian and Ramandu's daughter. I also hope they don't put any random romances involving Edmund...for some reason I get the feeling they are going to do that
Oh, yikes! I didn't even think of that ... a romance for Ed? That would be awful!!!I hope they don't exaggerate the romance between King Caspian and Ramandu's daughter. I also hope they don't put any random romances involving Edmund...for some reason I get the feeling they are going to do that
I don't know abou Ed... who could they possibly get him to flirt with? What other girl is there in the whole storyline where he could do that? At least the Caspian/Susan flirt was between two characters who really were in the story.
The bad news is that if they screw up this movie, that's the end of the series.

Actually... no. All the characters in the PC movie were from the book, and they didn't add any extra characters. So, if they do the same with VDT, there won't be anyone for Ed to flirt with simply because he's never in contact with any girls besides Lucy... And I'm positive they won't go with any incest.I don't know, but you know how writers can pull stuff out of nowhere (just look at PC).
You know, that makes a lot of sense. The only reason I think they stuck in Caspian/Susan was to set up maybe why Susan stopped believing in Narnia. Otherwise, it serves no purpose...but I have to think that they were looking ahead to The Last Battle.

Of course it doesn't make sense! If before PC I had told you that Peter was going to act like a jerk and that he and Caspian would get at each other's faces and even draw swords against each other you would have said that the writers could never do that. Yet that is exactly what they did. Remember AK that just because something doesn't make sense to us fans, it doesn't mean that would stop the writers. So what's to stop them from doing what I just said? Us? The book? Doug Gresham? How could Edmund have a romance (or interest) in the girl that Caspian turned down??? She was in Narnia, FAR AWAY from the Dawn Treader when Ed, Lucy and Eustace got swept into Narnia. That doesn't even makes sense, IMO.
Well as I said before, the majority of the Narnia fans would disagree it was a bad change/bad movie; the statistics dictate so.
I definitely agree with you here about the fantasy, modern society and today's teens. Of course they had to make a movie for them, for all of you who liked it.And no, BK, I would not have said what you think I might have. I see why they changed it, and I liked it. I felt like it gave us a more realistic view of human beings. While Narnia is treated as a fantasy, it's also more of a crossover; "modern" people put into a world that is medieval. I'm sorry, but some of the ideals Lewis put forth aren't realistic...especially growing up in a modern society. Especially when you're a teenager.
